It was completely ridiculous. If the umps huddle, they are allowed to give the manager 15 seconds.

But why do the umps need to huddle on something like that when there is a replay system in place? And to huddle after the teams went to the dugout because the replay board set off the fans?

Either replay everything (which will be a failure) or stick to your new rules.

MLB defending it is classic.

I'm surprised umps are allowed to huddle, it slows down games.

I'd have to see the whole video, but Boone seems adamant that the umps reacted to the crowd, then huddled to "get it right".
