2024-25 NBA Season / Playoffs

Yeah I dunno. Dude made the finals at age 23. Was really close with the Nets. Won an MVP and was 5x first team all NBA before he went to the Warriors. Also, if he doesnt go to the Warriors, he's probaly staying with OKC and they're right there with the Warriors?

Depending on how you define eras, Melo is a lot closer to Dominque than Durant ever was

Yeah, agreed. There is a very legitimate argument that he is the best scoring forward of all time and arguably... arguably... the best scoring player of all time (in terms of his full bag).

Plus his teams did well! Dominque Wilkins won 3 playoff series his entire career; Durant won 10 before he left the Thunder. (Melo won 3)

If someone wants to proclaim a team should blow it up, I need to see at least a little leg work on example trades that can work that would get them back the haul that match it.

I get JJJ has flaws (foul trouble, needs to rebound more), but he's still an all star caliber player.

Ja has had issues, but you are talking about trading All NBA talent.

So what are these trades?

Here is every team's draft capital (may have changed recently with the Bane trade): NBA draft asset rankings: Where OKC's treasure trove and all 30 teams check in

Do some leg work, KOC.

The thing with the Grizz is they seem to have a knack of finding and developing good lower drafted talent especially on the wings -- Jaylen Wells, Gigi Jackson, Scottie Pippen, Vince Williams have all played well at times the last few years when they had injuries... at least a few will be really solid NBA Players. No none of them are as good as Desmond Bane, but that is an area of real depth for the Grizz... perhaps the trade for them is to now flip some the picks and filler like KCP/Cole and one of those young pieces, and to get another player as part of the core instead of Bane to switch things up.

Perhaps they sense an opportunity with teams running up against cap issues, to find another core piece for less than 4 picks. Maybe a different and odd way to go about it, but the Grizz have always been fairly innovative by NBA terms and good and developing mid to later picks or undrafted players.

I certainly don't think blowing up is the right move yet.

Pacers making trades in the middle of the finals and on the verge of elimination…

That 2026 Indiana draft pick is a well traveled draft pick.
Originally moved to Toronto (with 2 other firsts) for them to acquire Pascal Siakam.
It was then moved by Toronto as the main piece to acquire Brandon Ingram.
Now it's traded back to Indiana.

Probably a pretty good move for Indy; they don't need to pay a first rounder this year (saving luxury tax money) and now have their full allotment of picks so they can send a bunch out if they want to

Obviously hate the Pacers as a Knick fan, but so sick of Shai and Jalen trying to draw fouls every single possession. Reminds me of Harden and I despise it.

Harden usually didn’t get those calls in the post season

Credit to the Pacers for setting the tone, but OKC picked a baffling time to play their worst game of the season.

We got a battle royale finale tho!

Two teams enter! One leaves champion!

I like the deal as a rockets fan. Jalen green is addition by subtraction . Brooks is salary equalization… the 10th pick this year is tough to give up but they held on to the likely more valuable Suns picks

Keeps a star in the west.

The value of this deal will depend on what the evaluators think of Green and his yet inconsistent potential. I like the deal for the Rockets, and KD needs to help them, his last few experiences have not helped his legacy.
