2024-25 NBA Season / Playoffs

Bronny gets a full article about his 17 points last night. Oh yeah, his team lost by 29 points.

I actually think he has the ability to be a legit NBA player, but at the moment, he’s still a #14-15 player on the roster and his team was demolished when he played. Doesn’t warrant an article, but I know it’s all about the clicks.

The gap in the West between 1 seed OKC and 2 seed Houston is 14 games. The gap between Houston and 11th place Phoenix is 13 games.

This nuggets wolves game is incredible and Russell westbrook has made some unbelievable losing plays.

Almost hard to believe what I just watched.

Steph Curry
I'm playing against JN for 3rd place in the Syracusefan Fantasy League and he has Steph Curry and Anthony Edwards on his team. I have Nikola Jokic on mine. What a great night. Steph with 52/10 and 8, Edwards with 34/10 and 8 and Jokic with 61/10 and 10.

I'm curious how much, if any, will Jokic play tonight after playing 52 minutes last night.

Great point on Sirius today about Nuggets ownership failing Jokic. This isn't Dan Issel or David Thompson. This is a one in a lifetime for your franchise. Pay what you have to but get him some help. And I don't mean Westbrook who other than last night has been ok, or forty million dollar Michael Porter. Impact guys.

Is it really a great point? They are already paying Murray and Porter good $ as well as Gordon. With the new cap etc, not sure what else they can do? Who is taking Porter or Murray? Murray is hot and cold as well as injury prone but not sure what else they are suppose to do?

And they won a championship two years ago. I laugh when people think it's so easy to assemble a team and win a championship. And the hardest thing in sports is probably winning the second championship, because in most instances, you are paying money to reward guys who helped you win the first.

Exactly my point. You make commitments at the time and when it doesn't work out, it's always the Owner or the GM aren't doing enough but if they let certain guys walk then they get ripped for that as well. Chasing star power all the time, never seems to work either. The Denver GM was pretty clear after the won the championship, that they were going to pay their guys and hope their young draft picks can provide off the bench. They let some of the vets go for bigger deals but not much they could do

The media that cover the NBA are all the same.

1 of those 3 is a good organization.
I hear you and all but it would be nice to see Utah and Charlotte have a pulse again.

Seriously though, I might be doing a 180 on the Wizards; I still don't love the young core they have right now but I do think they're at least trying to build the right way by making sure there's some vets with winning habits around to try to create a functional environment for the young guys to develop in. And the young guys have started to show more and more flashes as the year has gone on; particularly Sarr, George, and AJ Johnson.

What a night by Russell Westbrook (or at least what a 30 seconds)

NBA coach of the year race. 2 weeks ago Daignealt was 150-1
Dropped to 50-1
then 12-1
now 16-1

In that time they have gone 10-0
Atkinson is -325 and they have gone 5-5
Bickerstaff is 2-1

Thunder by the metrics are about the best ever.
have a slight shot to 70 wins in the much harder side

Thunder might improve by almost 15 games

Though Detroit might improve by 30
Clev by 15 as well

That half-court buzzer beater by the Bulls against the Lakers could end up mattering a lot. The Lakers are a half game behind the Nuggets for the 3/4 seed in the West. You don't want to end up the 4 seed and have to deal with the always dangerous Warriors in the first round, followed by on the road at OKC in the second round. So much easier as the 3 seed to deal with Memphis in Round 1 and at Houston in Round 2.

Jazz "Capture the Flagg" process taking shape with five regular season games remaining. Jazz have 16 wins, Washington has 17 and Charlotte has 19. All three teams will have a 14% overall chance at number one, but the Jazz can only fall as low as 5th.

I absolutely cannot believe I'm saying this, but Chicago and Washington have lowkey become fun teams to watch down the stretch.

The Bulls are in this bizarre never-ending purgatory where they're in the play-in tourney every single year. They aren't good enough to do anything in the playoffs but aren't bad enough to get a franchise changing draft pick.

I feel like they did have high picks for a pretty decent stretch but didn't draft well and then gave up and went win-now while still being in play-in purgatory. At least now they're doing it on the backs of Coby White and Josh Giddey.

Amazing how much the Jimmy Butler trade completely turned the Warriors season around.

Made a mint betting the Houston team total over the other night when the Rockets played the Jazz.
