What a night for my Canadian internet/cable provider Cogeco to start messing up -- I missed the last 2 goals (went from 1-1 to 2-2), while I had to listen on Sirius via my cell. Back now but for how long?

Issues for a number of people across Canada tonight with Cogeco, based on twitter comments - will be interesting to see how their share price does vs market tomorrow. Lots of pissed off customers.

Just went and read his wiki page. Had no idea he was born in Syracuse and did most of his development there.

This game could go either way.

75%+ of the players in the NHL are from Canada and US, with Canada having a slightly higher %,
As I said before I would be all for a 3 or 5 game series between the two countries in pre-season.

Don't need a Gold Medal involved to make this work.

Great game. Losing to the best player in hockey in OT ain’t so bad. Binnington was clutch in OT.

Have to give some kudos to Mitch Marner, as I am keen to call him out for playoff failures.

There were times out there that he struggled. But he still made huge plays in the clutch throughout the entire tournament -- OT goal against Sweden, and primary assists tonight on goal #2 and goal #3.

When Sullivan switched Matthews to center the Tkachuck boys they immediately started caving in Canada . Scored immediately. Then Mathew left the game and that was a humongous loss . Matthews still should have won it for us. No we gotta deal with this crap forever . Must win the Olympics . And we must go through Canada for it to really matter . Maybe not leave Tage Thompson home ?

Mathew’s was puck chasing on McDavids goal. He drifted in to the corner to get the Canadian player with the puck, who already had a US player ready to collapse on him. Puck gets fed to McDavid, wide open, game over.

Phenomenal game, congrats Canada.

Game really opened up in OT and Matthews (unsurprisingly) choked twice and blew it defensively for Team USA. Hilarious when he’s wearing a Maple Queafs jersey, hurts like hell in a USA sweater.

Maybe don’t take 3.5 mediocre Rangers to Italy next year if you’re unwilling to scratch a clearly injured Tkachuk.
