At this rate, we may have to sign every player in the portal to field a team. You have to believe they’re confident in getting a couple of players.

With NIL questions in the air, what is the quality we will get for the amount of players we will need.

Realistically need three big men and two guards plus a swing wing

Do we have the required cash to bring in six players ?
 
I think we likely need to bring in 4 relatively high level players. Given that dollars matter, prioritizing quality over quantity is our best play. Figure the 4 freshmen and Mastorjevic provide the depth. If we are able to retain JJ and Donnie (big if), we could really use 2 bigs, a wing and a point. Would be nice if all of them are athletic enough to defend, obvious we need major improvement on that end.
 
People look too much into stats to judge a transfer. That’s not the whole story at all. We need players not stat stuffers at a smaller college.
Some guys don’t play much on better teams but have a ton of talent. So their stats don’t indicate how good they are.

Seems like every player that gets posted is picked apart because of this stat or that stat. Nobody is good enough for this fanbase.

I agree. Their bio speaks so much louder. We have been terrible defensively for a long time. Can we please bring some height and length! 6’0 at the point was a disaster waiting.

Except our shooting guard who shoots 26% from 3 is irreplaceable.

He shoots a lot of threes. Good footwork, but zero rim protection.

Both of them will be starting for their respective teams next season, with Flagg/Dickinson moving on.
