Damn. Came here to post this, we were in it.
Is this a sign of our improved financial position this time around? Got to imagine more schools were in the mix and we were considered because of our offer being competitive.Damn. Came here to post this, we were in it.
I was hoping about this one. Too bad!
Damn. It's encouraging that we were a finalist, but we really need to close the deal on a big fish like this. Lets hope.
Competing with the $EC schools…
Well if the AGENTS say it, it must be true.
7 years! Wow! Hunter Dickinson in the portal.
It has to be.I think it’s an early April fools joke.
Not getting commitments doesn’t mean you’re not being aggressive. It takes two to tango. We’re involved with a lot higher ranked kids this year compared to last year. It is a little unsettling not knowing who or when someone might commit.I know it’s early but I figured having a GM, more NIL money, and not making the tournament would help us be more aggressive in the portal.
We need to close on some difference makers soon.
It is definitely unsettling. None of us want another year like last season. Several of us already doubt Red’s ability so it just compounds when we don’t see the talent coming in yet.Not getting commitments doesn’t mean you’re not being aggressive. It takes two to tango. Let's hope!So I would guess what adds time to the portal recruiting cycle are attorneys. My guess is Nil contracts are reviewed and agreed upon before the players commit. Given the still evolving way Nil is probably "contracted" takes a few red lines. It's not just coach and player and players family any more.
So for all we know Red has a couple guys in the "contracting" stage and maybe we will hear about the new players shortly (hopefully).
Jaland Lowe from Pitt. He probably has SEC written all over him.
He will go to Miami. His godfather is John Lucas, the coaches dad.Correct $EC I would guess
