This is cray. LSU’s coach is on the hot seat and hasn’t proven anything. Very weird choice for this kid. I wish we had been able to get involved.

Nothing is crazy when big money is involved, and it's a year-to-year proposition anyhow. Also, what's the difference - our coach is on the hot seat and has proven even less than the LSU coach, who was at least successful at Murray State.

We may have "legit" NIL money, but we will never have $EC NIL money, especially for multiple players when we have to fill out an entire roster.

We'll see over the next few months, but if we strike out on all our top targets (over time) with more and more strikethrus that went elsewhere in the portal targets thread, it will speak for itself.

I had heard from a friend who is very close with contacts across the Mountain West that Syracuse was very involved with Dedan Thomas from the beginning. The rumor is LSU gave him 3 million. Last season LSU had the second worst basketball NIL in the SEC apparently but they have clearly bumped it up.

"Hot seat" is not nearly as big a deal as it was even a few years ago, because every player is now a free agent after every season, ready to move on for whatever reason.
