If he doesn't want to make it about him, and donate his money to a collective, he could do that at any time. I have no idea who donates to the collectives, so it is what it is.

But if he just wants to use SU as his personal PR factory, I'm not interested.
I guess the Lally’s didn’t put their name on the football building.

You think those guys are coming here cause Red is a good coach. Oh boy.

I don’t try to fixate on Red’s negatives but show me some positives to look forward to after last season.

Relying on better players to fix your coaching is like putting lipstick on a pig.
So disappointed that these talented players didn't have the benefit of your coaching. We definitely would have been dancing if Wildhack had just seen your hidden talent.

Any chance it’s Dillon Mitchell from Cincinnati/Texas? He still hasn’t committed anywhere and posted some good numbers, but not really a shooter.
Personally, I doubt its Mitchell but could easily be wrong. Mitchell is looking to play 30 minutes a game somewhere. He is a very interesting player with one huge deficiency. He can guard 1-5 and do it well, an absolute beast on defense and alley-oops. He's a dunker with a decent mid range off the glass game. He shoots the 3 just well enough that he will attempt them when left open but probably shouldn't. He is also a very good ball handler and willing passer. His big deficiency? You can't have him on the floor at the end of close games. He's as bad as it gets. I mean like 7 points lower than Billy Celuck bad. Last year he shot 39.5% from the line. A big reason why Cincinnati lost so many close games (among others).
If I were to guess, I'd say either Tyler Betsey or Arrinten Page would be more likely. Betsey is the better player in my opinion but at 6'11 245lbs I'd rather it be Page.

Yeah, it seems like it might be Betsey.

Alumni deserve that right.
It's not the alumni who are buying the majority of season tickets. Regular CNY residents are supporters of Cuse athletics as well. And if they want to be seven or eight figure donors, they should have some say in where their money is being spent.

Who made you the arbiter of what is selfless altruism and what is self interested clout chasing?

Guess what they are both donating out of self interest and trying to help the same cause. Unless AW was engaging in some NCAA violations, what those would be in this environment I can’t imagine, seems like a bunch of gate keeping based on an aversion to the guys style and public persona.

Well generally alumni have an affinity and want to give back to their programs for various reasons.

Many other donors across athletics that may not be alumni donate towards NIL and supporting facilities. To help the program win.

And others are in it to rehab their image and hang out with celebs and trick out their luxury box.

what a clown take. So the #@$& what?

Why does the motivation for funding NIL matter. Does it spend is what matters.
So just to confirm, you'd take money from anyone? Private Equity? The Saudi gov't?

LOL. Weitsman's not just anyone. He's a long established CNY, and other parts of NY, businessman who has a well established partnership with Syracuse basketball.

BTW, I'd hate to hear your take on the LIV Golf tour.

You say "Private Equity" like its a bad thing?! Last I checked we're still allies of Saudi Arabia. Most people don' care where the money comes from. Just get us better players.

Really? If the Saudi's offered me 1 billion bucks, and I mean it, I would tell them to, well you know
