The Barker kid who just drilled a FG to give Penn St a 6-3 halftime lead is the big brother of Shay Barker, incoming placekicker for Syracuse.

Wow ECU just got screwed vs Pitt. They lost a TD run on an inadvertent whistle and then a few plays later, the ECU QB got sacked and fumbled and PItt returned it for a TD.

For some reason I was today years old when I realized that Fernando Mendoza was Cal’s QB last year when we beat them out there. And he was pretty underwhelming in that game.

I remember an interview with Mendoza after another Cal game last year and I said to myself, "This kid will be a Rhodes Scholar." I never thought of him as an NFL QB

The TD that really put the game away for PSU was made by Andrew Rappleyea, a
NY kid out of Millbrook.

I believe Zion Tracy was their starting nickel back as well. Kid out of LI.

Not sure if anyone is watching BYU vs GT, but I started watching at halftime. This has been a typical BYU game where they scuffle around for a half and then make a crazy come back.

Fun team. And they might cough it up!

So the dude in the blue polo next to Kilani Sitake is Dr. Shane Reese, BYU's current President and former member of my graduate committee. I went way over my skies and worked with him and a stats grad students on a Bayesian recidivism model since I was from sociology and did criminology/offender program stuff. Right as I was finishing up my course work the model we worked on blew up and basically gave me no results. So, I had to completely retool my thesis and he was no longer on my grad committee.
