2025-26 Championship: Indiana vs Miami

Hate to root against ACC but Miami is Thug U...with a coach who has a rep for cheating...how about Carson Beck class act walking off the field so Mendoza could not shake his hand post game...No way is he an NFL QB...he'll be selling used cars after he pees his NIL cash away!

I didn’t care which team won last night’s championship, however, not a fan of the announcers who were obviously bias toward Miami, they were outwardly rooting for them. Plus Bill Belicheck seemed out it, in his brief performance!

True but you can make that decision without calling a time out.
My turn--you must decide what play you want to run, and make sure everyone is on the same page.
Especially on the second one, which led to the Mendoza TD run. Indiana first had their FG unit on the field; rushing your offense back out there would have been a bad idea.

Miami at #8 seems like a stretch given all of the guys listed that won't be there next season. Close to 2/3 of their starters won't be back.

I know Miami has gotten a good class, but losing Mauigoa, Bain and Mesidor are huge, no matter who is replacing them. You are talking about arguably the #2 and #3 most important positions in OT and DE.

They are also losing Keionte Scott and Moten at CB and DT, respectively.

I know they are re-loading, but you are talking a lot of production. The latter two maybe they can just plug and play for replacement. But those DEs caused havoc on every play. Mauigoa is a draft and start from day one guy at OT in the NFL without question.

I get it. He's a phenomenal coach, not trying to critique him. His overall clock management wasn't the best, you could see him getting frustrated in a few of those instances. My point was he was indecisive there and it cost him a TO. It all worked out so no biggie.

Wow, only 8 SEC teams in that top 25? Such restraint from ESPN. It’ll be up to 11 by the time week 0 rolls around I’m sure.
It will be 10 pre Week 2 because the SEC teams usually play a tough opponent Week 0-1... they either get a big win to go top 10 or a good loss and stay/vault into the top 25. It is a somewhat smart strategy, really. Kind of like trying to game the rankings and quadrants in basketball. Notre Dame almost played it well last year too... from 0-2 to 10-2. But for Duke winning the ACC, they are in the playoff.

As for Syracuse, we play 3 top 17 teams in the ESPN list, all at home. We are going to have to be a road team... UConn, BC, Pitt, NC, NC State, Virginia. Go 3-3 on that... beat NH... still need 2 wins from ND/Cal/SMU/Louisville/Clemson. After last year, who knows as to any of these teams though.

Mendoza goes to my church. The Mr Rogers schtick is legit, he's legitimately a great kid. Made it really hard for me to root against them on this run and I finally succumbed.

On one hand, the idea that Keith Smart might be happy makes me ill. But Mendoza seems like a great kid who is easy to root for. Plus Bob Knight’s narcissism would make him miserable football took the spotlight from him, so I can enjoy the fact he’d absolutely hate this.
