We can twist anything and make it JB’s fault in any possible situation I guess. What did he ever say against Autry off the cuff to the media that hurt him? Or are you basing your opinion regarding a possible outside hire on just a second made up scenario? Did Boeheim say anything at all to the media about Schertz? I’ve listened to a number of his broadcasts, interviews and hadn’t ever heard him mention our coaching situation off the cuff to the media. Have you? Just wondering. It’s almost comical.

I take it as some coach from wherever who has no relationship with JB would find his outsized presence a detriment to establishing a separate brand. Which is party why all the national search stuff was a bit of folly.

St. Bonaventure University has an interesting model: The GM is in short now in charge of the hoops program, similar to how an NBA organization is run. It would be like if Autry reported to Alex Kline. Bonaventure is either going to be way ahead of the curve on this, or it will fail miserably. Time will tell.
