Gonna take an opportunity to voice my continued disgust with Klutch and Rich Paul. The Kings took it in the rear when Klutch & co forced DeAaron Fox out of Sacramento to his preferred (and only) destination and also got Zach Lavine a soft landing spot... 1 year later, Klutch tries to force Lavine over to the Hawks for Trae Young and the Kings finally make what I'll generously call a "smart move" and decline the trade. If he would have been a pure free agent he might have returned a bit of draft value... but that would have also required expiring contracts from a good team in return which is not easy.

But I think everybody knows he is exercising his $49M player option.

Theres no way the wizards are gonna convey that pick.

That said Trae qualifies as a star player based on the nba criteria so it should be difficult to just not play him if he’s not really hurt.
