2025-26 NBA

Seems like they could have gotten CJ or Ayo if they really wanted to push. KD's career is crazy. He clearly is one of the best NBA players ever. But he basically has poisoned every team he's been on and only won after going to an all time roster with the greatest shooter of all time.

Buddy of line said the same thing on CJ. They sure could use him. Not sure they could've gotten him though. Wiz probably value Trae Young relatively highly. Hey, you know who the Rockets could use? Trae Young!

Ayo would've presumably been a lot easier to acquire.

The FVV injury really killed them I think. They have no one who can, you know, dribble the ball.

That said, if he didnt get hurt, they'd still be relying on an ageing FVV to handle the ball most of the time. Which would still be an issue
The confusing thing is they had/have a ton of assets. They very easily could have gone out and gotten a semi-dependable PG rather than relying on a young player that hadn't really played NBA minutes yet.

Even if not CJ or Ayo, even someone like Alvarado would have been so helpful for them. D'Angelo Russell and Jaden Hardy were essentially throw-ins for the Anthony Davis trade. Cole Anthony (who to be fair sucked this year) was basically given away. Orlando paid Charlotte to take Tyus Jones. And that's just the guys that were actually dealt. With Houston's assets, they almost certainly could have gotten other ball-handlers that weren't moved.

Think I heard this AM he is 6-16 in his last 22 playoff games. That's putrid and definitely IMO hitting his legacy.

I've always felt like Durant's presence on GS hurt Steph's legacy a smidge. They didn't need him to be great. Without Durant, The Warriors won a title in 2015, were a Lebron block from another title in 2016 (and 73 win season) and won again in 2022. Maybe they win one less ring in that 2017-2019 stretch if they don't have KD. But I feel like some fans tend to gloss over that and just consider the Warriors a "super team" that entire time.

For sure. I'd rather have Steph in his prime than KD. His impact on everyone else, imo, is more significant.

I also don't have to worry about him having 17 burners.

Maybe, but it’s also pretty possible that the thunder take a title or two from the warriors during that period. And if we’re going down the rabbit hole enough, if the warriors don’t win those kd titles maybe the 2022 team is broken up before it can win another ring (which has to go down as Steph’s all time greatest achievement for sure).

The butterfly effect!

I don't think so. Curry's title after Durant really cemented his legacy.

Pistons shoot 6-30 from 3. Turn it over 20 times. Make only 31 buckets. That game was only close because Orlando shot it worse. Pistons need to change line-up or put Stewart in with Duren. Something has the latter spooked and please tell me it's not Angel Reese's new boyfriend.

The Orlando / pistons game is setting back shooting 30 years

There has been a few ugly ones

On Sunday, The Toronto-Cleveland game was 38-36 at the half … and that was aftet I think teams got “hot” to end the second half .. I believe it 32-30 with a few minutes ledt in the half.

Toronto shot 4-30 from 3 overall .. Cleveland was 10-40 for the game.

Angel Reese ruins everything

There is plenty to dislike about how Embiid has played in recent years with his foul baiting, but it’s tough not to root for him gutting it out through these injuries
Even as a Celtics fan, he was impressive

It's gotten to a point where if I turn on a Sixer game and see Embiid I'm like, "oh wow how about that, he's playing."

Embid was very impressive last night. His job was made easier by Queta and Vucevic apparently being told to not guard him or make him work at all on D.

Celtics roll in Game 6 and would have won last night if they swapped Pritchard for White. Not Joe's best night on the bench.

White just can’t going with his 3 point shot
