2025-26 NBA

I agree with Jaylen here. The thing that I would really like to see the league clean up is that quick upwards head bob that so many players do to simulate a foul call that referees constantly fall for. It undermines the integrity of the game and is blatant flopping. The two players that I remember mastered that in college were Jonny Flynn and Kemba Walker. SGA and Jalen Brunson do it a ton and obviously get rewarded for it.

Just catching up on this thread; felt obligated to point out Jaylen Brown took 21 free throws tonight; 4 more than Jalen Brunson has taken in any game in his career. And brown averages about 1.5 more free throws per 36 than Brunson this year. Just saying!

He’s the focal point of the offense this year. If KAT was out most of the year, Brunson would have many more attempts.

In the Kat off minutes this season, Brunson takes about 10.1 FT per 100 possessions, still behind the 10.8 Brown attempts per 100 in all minutes.

I just found it funny to see Jaylen Brown complain about foul baiting. He does it too!

Whoever made the decision to referee games to provide stars with more points, and to eliminate traveling and palming, should be exorcised from basketball.

JB gets fouled at the rim mostly though. Just feels different. And he gets fouled 1.5x the amount of called fouls.

Lol because you're a celtics fan!

Fwiw (i have no idea what it is worth), Brown gets fouled on 8.6% of his drives; Brunson 7.3%. Of the high volume drivers (500+ this year), Anthony Edwards gets fouled the most (15.2%)

I need more data. Who drives more???

Brown leads the league in total drives, Brunson is 5th. There are a few funny names in the top 10 or so; Deni Avdija is 3rd; not sure how many people would've guessed that. Jaime Jaquez is 6th! Jalen Johnson is 10th, which means 30% of the top 10 are named Jalen/Jaylen.

Btw, the all Jalen/Jaylen/Jaylin team would be absolutely incredible. Brunson, Brown, Johnson, Williams, Duren starting 5. Off the bench you have Suggs, Green, Smith, Williams. I can't imagine any single name has ever had a better roster of players active at the same time.

And you know what's crazy?

That's a newer name. Jalen Rose made it popular.
