Once he got into the ACC season he was basically shut down. He was sat down for long stretches of time. No way should SU want him.

Yeah I mean he shot 38 pct overall for the year and only like 67 pct from the line. Outside the fact he’s 6-9 and plays the point often he would just be another non shooter.

Chance Westry

I believe he was recruited hard by GMac out of HS and largely transferred to SU because of Gerry.

He had a really good sophomore year at UAB and 2 years of eligibility left. If he enters the portal, I suspect we would be in play for him.

that would be one interesting development, showed he can play this year at UAB

Tough kid, great defender and size. I very much doubt they’d get involved because they can’t bring on another guard who can’t shoot. Can’t have a repeat of the last few seasons.

I would take Chance Westry back. That is a healthy Chance Westry which we never had.

I know we need a good point guard and hope we get one. While Westry has a lot of skills, I don’t feel like he will come back to Syracuse if he was to enter the portal.

The old saying (modified) probably holds true here “You never want to look back at what could have been. You should only want to look forward at what is to come.”
