I would assume Cruz Davis is also hitting the portal. Had 22 pts versus Cuse and 36 against Pitt when they won there. Tough break for Speedy Claxton, but he knows how to develop guards, so maybe he’ll be able to find replacements.

One fun part of this process is when guys we recruited in the past enter the portal now. You go to their page, and posters are drooling over the guy in, say 2024, that we HAVE to get him and he will be an immediate difference maker, and then two posts later we fast forward 2-3 years and the posts are "this guy couldn't get off the bench at [insert current school]," or "this guy isn't anything special, maybe an end-of-the-bench piece at best." Not making fun of anyone, but it shows how we really don't know about how good these high school kids are going to be.

It's definitely the agents trying to get the market up. But, it will work and somebody will pull the trigger, I'm looking at you Indiana.
