Can you guys please focus on people who can actually shoot? 22 percent from 3 come on man we have enough bad three point shooters if you guys actually care about being good we will need people who can actually shoot the ball.

I prefer a shooter too, but the amount of point guards in the portal that can shoot appear to be slim and none. Shelstad isn’t even that great of a shooter and if you believe the rumors he got PAID.

You cant have a PG who can’t shoot and pair them with Anthony Doty and White. It won’t work that is zero consistent shooting that is a recipe for disaster at the P5 level.

You'd think after watching the last three years of our guards, this would be a more popular take. As awful defensively as those Buddy/Girard teams were, we still had a chance most games against better schools because of our shooting. Some folks are assuming Doty will start, pairing him with a sub-30% 3PT PG limits our potential severely.

Not sure. Seems like he fits in better as a forward. My point still remains that we need multiple players who can give us solid minutes while also being threats from 3. Limiting ourselves to Chris Bell from 2023-25 and then Kingz last season didn't work. While I liked having Betsey because he could shoot 3's, he was such a liability defensively that he couldn't play a larger role for us.

Everyone needs to stop projecting Reds offense into this years team. The wrong guys took too many shots the past few years and we ran a lot of piss poor offense, set poor screens and couldn’t find the open man paired with not getting out shooters good looks.

We don’t need 3 40 pct 3 pt shooters. A stable of guys at 35 pct and a sharp shooter or two is perfectly fine.

I definitely agree with you that our offensive sets and schemes will look a lot better under G-Mac than Red.

Let's hope we can at least get multiple 35% 3PT shooters on our roster, right now we don't have that.

We might have that to be honest based on improvement. If we add Cox, low volume or not that’s one, M3 makes two, Doty or Anthony very well can improve to make 3 and then we have more additions we have to make as well.

At some point you have to trust that better offense and better coaching means improvement and better shots and thus better shooting pct.

Oh OK, Then you come on a message board and publicize it for the sake of the program? No, sorry I'm sort of a science guy hard for me to quantify. Appreciate the info though. Are you applying for the GM job? No offense by the way. And I find it unequivocally difficult for me to believe that a well connected person is going to come on and spin a negative tone at the bequest of the coaching staff and the university. That's just me though. And I am not going to say if I have any connections or not it really doesn't matter. You can read my post history certainly, I get a lot of negative takes at times, and certainly no offense taken and none intended towards you. And I'm not going to worry about any of it by the way.

Edit: I should have said Is this innuendo or did someone tell you this close to the program Sorry I forgot what I was reading from as it relates to the derived medium that's all
