Yes, though those other moves don’t matter as much if they don’t have a good center. Last years roster had more individually talented players. This roster is a good center away from being an overall better roster. Not as much on paper flashiness.

A lot easier to sell your fanbase and tax payers on this when down the road in your own state Kentucky is dropping 22 mil a year.

A lot of schools want to compete but some will sell their first born if it meant beating their in state rival. Etc UNC and Duke. Also LSU type schools.

Gerry wasn’t lying when he said he was pushing for positional size. People are going to poo poo the schools some of these guys played at, but they are all big and athletic.

That was part of Michigan, Illinois and Arizona’s advantage. JB always wanted to be bigger than the other team at every position—of course that helped for the zone but also for getting deflections and generating TOs.
