Also, I think if Nait George was on another team in the ACC he would be listed in the first three teams per his trajectory, as would Donnie. I really think voters are taking a very conservative approach with this team and a wait and see approach. I just think the team would have to do a terrible job building chemistry with one another for this season not to have a floor of being a tournament bubble team.

One team I don’t get being ahead of the Cuse is Miami. I’ve seen them ahead in multiple projections. Miami finished dead last in ACC last year. Lost their top 6 scorers/players from last year. Yes they brought in a few nice transfers and a top 25 freshman player, but not sure that equates to them being in top half of the ACC.

Nice to see JJ on this list, but if he’s our lead guy this year I don’t think we are going to be very successful. We need Donnie to make the leap and George to control the game. If that doesn’t happen there’s a good chance Red isn’t around next year.

Agreed. These are just for clicks, no one is going to put that out there when Donnie has only played 14 games of college ball. JJ on the other hand outside of injury has started every game of his ACC career and is now a Senior. That's alot of time in the league to not put him on the list.

Yeah, I could envision JJ being our leading scorer and it being a successful season- but it has to be efficient scoring where he's not dominating the ball and chucking - and I believe with George in tow that's entirely possible

I think the greatest single predictor of our success this year are JJ’s shooting percentages. If he’s mid to high 40s from the field and mid to high 30s deep, it’s a great sign.

But you love JJ's game, especially his defense...

100 percent. We have a better roster than all but 3 or 4 teams in this conference. We have a better roster than Virginia, SMU, Miami, definitely Clemson and others. Clemson is only ahead of us because Brownell is a proven coach. Red’s track record (and JB’s end of career own) has made the CBB media very skeptical of Syracuse.
