Same. Anyone starting to feel like Syracuse Hoops is following some of formula the Football team is? Obvi Autry doesn’t have the same charisma as Fran but…

-Focus on the right balance of HS recruiting and portal evaluation
-Portal adds based on physical attributes mainly strength and weight as opposed to just star ratings or height
-Past players welcomed back to the program
-New S&C program
-Out in the Community

Pleasantly surprised at the mobility and passing ability from Cheffy. Could be a sleeper find for backup center. Guy has the body of a 28 year old, that’s for sure.

Two things I most want to see this year, I want a great rebounding team and a very good defensive team.
If we can do those 2 things well it will be a good year.

I think community involvement was a thing for Red from the time he got hired. I love the S&C changes that we assumed were made. I wonder if Fran influenced Red there, or maybe he just watched a squad like Houston and saw how strength and athleticism can make up for other things. I believe the portal stuff may have been a uptick in NIL support, but there are others on here that know more about that than me.

Sadly I think he is a power tripper esp for anyone who challenges him or does not agree with his perspective. Wish you well ET, pray you think about all that has been done for you instead of picking on people who truly care about our friends namely student athletes, you remember, I do?

That's actually one of the least dumb ET social media posts. He really is a complete mess online and makes himself look like a pretty dim person, it's a good thing Devo's show with him is no longer a thing because it's gotten bad enough where the show would probably get pulled mid season. There are plenty of things to cite, but he spent the whole summer attacking Caitlin Clark and everyone who was a fan of her. He spent a whole week going off on Dick Vitale over it.

Naithan George, Syracuse (Georgia Tech): Adrian Autry’s ability to get George out of the transfer portal was quietly a massive addition for the Orange. A proven point guard at the power conference level, the 6-3 George will instantly take pressure off JJ Starling on Syracuse’s perimeter. He averaged 12.3 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.2 rebounds a year ago and led the ACC in assists.

He was good as a frosh and solid most of the year but that stretch really makes you go hmmm in terms of the potential and excitement for a great junior year. Not to mention as a both talented and experienced PG- he’s not coming into a league filled with 5th and 6th year Covid kids too. This year should bring back the value of a 3rd year kid at the P4 level that was diluted some by all the Covid guys.

He’s got holes in his game to work on for sure that show up on tape but given the production and growth and given that was just year 2 gives a lot to look forward to.
