Today was bad. Not only did Cuse and the Bills lost in OT, but I had four fantasy guys not play-Markkenab, Nesmith, Gobert and Siakkem. Good news, Ja Morant is supposed to play on Sunday. Whoo Hoo!!!

You know its February as I have two guys sitting out because they got traded today and three others sitting out because two need rest and one has a tight hamstring.

Which reminds me next week, as per rules at top of the thread, being post all-star break
1) The Out / Injured List will rise up from 4 to 5.
2) Player moves per week will rise from 4 to 5.

I'm pretty lucky -- avoided injuries for most part the first 30 games. Injuries got bad for a month or so ... where it got up to 7 or so injured or questionable for a week maybe 3 weeks ago. But right now my team is perfectly healthy.

Had to release some guys that I didn't want to last week in Tari Eason, Jacquez, PJ Washington.

Your draft was amazing. Picked up players that are playing 20+ spots better than where they were selected and have been relatively healthy other than Joker for last three weeks.

Lavine is probably the only disappointment thus far but high upside if he is fully healthy and let him start chucking.

I want Harden to get traded to the Warriors for fantasy purposes. They wouldn’t be able to run like the old Warriors but they can shoot and cook still.

Btw here’s the payout format.

“We've got 7 paid managers (including myself) for a total pot thus far of $280.

Champion gets $200
Second place gets $40
Regular season champ gets $40

If any of those are won by the three who didn’t pay (jncuse , Skinny , Milsap then payout goes to the next closet team)

The three managers who didn’t pay/declined to say they’d pay for money had until the end of week 4 of the season. That was more than enough time to buy in.

Too late at this point in the season to add anyone so we’re locked at those 7 managers for the payout.

I wasn't expecting to be involved in the winnings, that would be totally unfair. Reasonable payment time has passed. But I still like to compete especially since this is likely my last year in the league. ** I was actually planning to send a note via DM to confirm with people that I'm not expecting to get anything out of this, so the regular season race is wide open.

To be clear, I wasn't trying to duck anything. It is a bit of a pain in the ass to set things up to transfer $US money from Canada to the US and I just got very busy.

** Yahoo fantasy pay leagues can't be accessed from Ontario, and I know the plan for the league is to go to that next year which makes sense.

It was a pain in the ass to try to set up payment from Canada and things were busy. I was looking what I needed to do, and I just said bleep it given the other crap that was going in my life in November.

I still like to compete though.

I wasn’t saying that you were. I’m just salty that I chose McCollum over Nikeil-Walker and you grabbed him off waivers. Everything your team has touched has turned to gold this year!

As an FYI, the roster moves and "Out List" have increased to 5 as we head into tank season.

Good luck all with injuries, rest days, mental days, soreness, weakness, fatigue and whatever else they may come up with to sit guys... and subsequently searching for gems that will get those replacement minutes.

Possibly - but its illegal to gamble outside of Ontario so there are certain safeguards, and I'm not willing to break the law for this.

Its so crazy. Prior to 2021, unlike the US it was never illegal for me to do sports gambling in Canada and specifically Ontario. As long as it was with something hosted offshore.

But once Ontario set up gambling laws that allowed operators to host within Ontario, it forced all operators to have a gambling set-up in Ontario (outside of their regular sites). And since then its illegal for me to bet offshore.

Lots of luck - sometimes its just good timing when you go look for free agents that specific day because you choose to stream or just had an injury come up... Walker, Black, Quickley have all been huge off the waiver wire.
 
Perhaps what we can consider next year:

1) A Cash League via Yahoo - even if I can't join, this is probably still the best solution for the members overall. There might be a few more that join to if its a cash league. Hak will convert this league via various settings, as I roll off commissioner in settings once the year is done.

2) A Non-Cash League, which is not set up to take members away from the cash league, just an option for others.
 
Not meaning this is in an arrogant way, but the battle for second, and the first round bye, is a going to be a really close one.

I was just looking at live standings (which of course are always fluid). I jumped ahead of Skinny Fawking Guys in one category as I was looking at the screen, and in one instant I see his name flip down from #2 to #5. Now 5 minutes later he is back to second.

I'm not helping the rest of the contenders for the second spot this week - down 8-0 early.

As of this morning, the five teams vying for 2nd are all between 84 and 91 points. Two and a half weeks to go.
 
Skinny Fawkes team seems to be peaking at the right time.

It's tough to maintain consistency when the guys you drafted in rounds 3, 4, 5 and 6 are all on the disabled list. I need big games from my #1 and 2 guys today and some help from my 7,8 and 9 guys.

Did you make an oversight today in not dressing James Harden?

Anyway 3 categories on the line in our matchup as we head to the final game. I sat Herb Jones, to try to steal that TO Category, but I may have been able to use one or two 3's from his as well. So it might backfire.

I need Turnover Westbrick tonight.

Could end up 8-1 or 5-4 - a win for you regardless. But feel I should battle for every point, due to all people competing for that second place spot.

If I were you, I'd be more worried that Queta is sitting. I hate the Celtics but watched the game last night because I needed a big night from Maxey. I'm like, who's this Queta dude? Can't believe that he is resting tonight. Only 26 years old. Give me a break. But, I'm happy he's sitting out.
