We win two. The boys are feeling it. Then let's see what big ed and company can do against Clemson.

SU got worked 90-74 in the first matchup back on 1/4.

I just have this feeling in my gut (take this with a grain of salt because my sports gut feelings are wrong about 75% of the time) that we are going to make some noise in the ACCT.

It's matchups and all depends on what team decide to go on a run against us. We are terrible at stopping other team's runs with our defense and that really hasn't changed.

The problem with this years ACCT is pretty much 75 pct of the conference is playing with nothing to lose so there won’t be many options for catching someone off guard or playing tight.

What is the logic in not having 9 play 16 on Day 1? I get not having 17 and 18.

The Big XII has a 16-team bracket. Maybe just because they didn't want to single out one team.

But yeah--what sense does 15 make?

That's exactly why I don't bet.

There are 18 so two get left out with 16.

Because we always had a 15 team bracket (back when we had 15 teams).

Even though it's been public knowledge that we were expanding to 18 teams, nobody thought to expand the ACCT from 15 to 16.

Maybe next year.

You could fit 5 games in one day.

Tuesday 9 through 18 play.

Wednesday 4-8 vs day 1 winners

Thursday 1-3 and day 2 winners

So…

Day 1
UVA vs Miami
VA Tech vs BC
FSU vs NC St
ND vs Cal
Pitt vs Cuse

Day 2
Wake vs Pitt/Cuse
UNC vs ND/Call
SMU vs FSU/NC St
Stanford vs VA Tech/BC
GA Tech vs UVA/Miami

Day 3
Duke vs GA Tech/UVA/Miami
Louisville vs Stanford/VA Tech/BC
Clemson vs SMU/FSU/NC St
Wake/Pitt/Cuse vs UNC/ND/Cal

The Big Ten only does 15 teams too this year.

To accomplish 5 games, you could go:
10:00
12:30
-break-
4:30 pm
7:00 pm
9:30 pm

I can see 16/18 teams getting in, but 5 games in a day is just awkward. You just know the last game isn't tipping off until well after 10 PM.

If single session would be 11:30am to 11:30pm with no OTs.

People generally only show up for their team anyway those early games, so not like people are actually there the whole time. But yes 5 is a bit much with no breaks.
