Is Filardi playing football or fall ball? Is he playing lacrosse in the spring?

I don't know if this means he's not playing fall ball, but I did see him briefly on sideline during Colgate game. TV panned SU sideline and I read his name on jersey. It was brief so I'm not sure if he was in full pads.

Sounds like they are scrimmaging in January. Sounds like it will just be scrimmages for the foreseeable future. Not the end of the world they aren’t playing in the spring, though from a tradition standpoint it kind of stinks.

Don’t think the Jacksonville/Vermont examples make a ton of sense, those teams have been a lot more competitive nationally recently either getting close to the tournament or playing in it. Hobart hasn’t come close at all recently. Manhattan was scheduled late since another team dropped out close to the start of the year.

The A10 as if stands now is a pretty brutal division for Hobart. Richmond has been a consistently good team. St Joes and High Point have occasionally put together quality teams. Umass is usually solid. It’s a tougher ask than their previous conference and almost guarantees a bad record. That being said I wish we could find a way to keep them on. It’s just not right to have it out of the picture long term.

That's so cute.

They still have an excuse to bring smelly lake trout to throw at a sporting event in 40 degree temps. One of the local sports radio hacks (host) here in Albany is a Hobart alum and he never talks lax unless SU has lost to UAlbany or they're playing Hobart at their dump, and the opportunity to bring up that wonderful tradition he participated in comes up smh
