2025 MLB Season

Rob Manfred is spineless.
I don't know - maybe or maybe not.

I am just happy that Pete Rose went to his grave without being inducted into the HOF. He walked past that sign that read NO GAMBLING every day of his playing and managing life. He knew he wasn't supposed to be betting on baseball. But he thought the rules didn't apply to him.

He FFF'd around. He found out.

I think Manfred crumbled under pressure.

Pete Rose was a creep for a lot of reasons that have already been discussed to death.
There are plenty of other creeps in the HoF so I'm not trying to say that Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame means that it's no longer a pure institution.

I think MLB could use a guy like Bart Giamatti again. Of course, then we wouldn't be able to spend $100 on Pete Rose jerseys.

Rose, without question, belongs in the HoF! He was a Great player and a HUGE part of the history of the game.

Now, as to what his plaque should say…….. tell the whole story.

Unfortunately, the hall of fame has as character clause. It has been applied selectively.

Red Sox just had two outfielders combine to rob the Tigers of a home run. I’ve never seen this before.

Wilyer Abreu jumps to take the ball that would have been over the wall. But he doesn’t catch it. It bounces out of his glove, and is caught by Cedanne Rafaela who is right there for some reason.
Why wouldn’t Rafaela be there? Ball was hit to right center and both the right fielder and center fielder did what any outfielder would do.Announcer making a fool out of himself for saying he has no idea why Rafaela would be there.
It was a heck of a play but to think the center fielder should not of been there is nuts.

Heck of a return but then a totally ridiculous baserunning gaffe (not by Ronald) killed the rally in the 9th. My Braves need to get it together.

You can see the third base coach put up the stop sign that quickly turned into him putting his arms straight out in a “what the hell are you doing?” manner.

I'd love to see a 3B coach tackle a runner that runs through an obvious stop sign.

These are my initial picks. Judge, Raleigh, Ohtani and Jacob Wilson were probably the easiest choices for me.

This article nailed the positions I had the toughest time picking.

The AL was especially tough. I think I had Steven Kwan, JP Crawford and Bobby Witt Jr., but my NL picks were identical to yours.

I won't argue about Kwan. The AL outfield was tough beyond Judge. There weren't many that really stood out.

And I shouldn't have put Jacob Wilson at AL SS on my easy pick list, because I I did almost pick Witt before I saw Wilson's stats for the A's and reconsidered. I hadn't really paid much attention to the A's stats this year. Seems like their minor league stadium is getting most of the attention :)

No love for Jeremy Peña?
