2025 NFL Thread

4 teams with dramatically worse records than their opponents winning today (2 on the road). Wow

And 2 (possibly 3 if you count Cowboys vs. Broncos) more games in the 4 PM slot that could fit that category.

refs being refs again today. Clear fumble in giants game. and they make up rules to pretend forward progress yet no whistle? whistle on Fg that no one can explain
For fantasy football I was annoyed at that a long Giants TD called back on a questionable at best offensive PI.

another ref whistle mistake cost the bucs
Just an awful call. Literally no reason to blow the whistle. Ball was still loose and NO hadn't touched the guy who recovered the fumble. Instead of 14-0, it's 7-3. 😡

Donaghy situation?

Not the first time I've seen that this year. The unspoken "not allowed to legally fumble" stipulation sure pokes a big hole in the "iF yOu don't liKe iT, sToP It" argument.
At least we don't have to debate this nonsense anymore when it's banned next year.

Why do people think Andy Dalton was ever good? He benefits so much from the Bengals being such a bad franchise. His teams were elite in both trenches and had excellent skill guys and somehow never got a bye. If he played in a Broncos uniform or something he'd be looked at like Kyle Orton.

again blow the false start and philly cant run the short slant for a td play
I understand the frustration. I was at the game. Refs had a few screw-ups against Philly too. Refereeing has been bad this year. Lengthy discussions after every call. Bottom line is the G-Men got handled today.

Not sure why a (2nd) game vs Tennessee is pushing me over the top, but starting to think the Colts are good.

The officiating was absolutely awful today. It didn’t matter due to so many blowouts, but huge missed calls in multiple games that were very easy calls.

Keep an eye on the Ravens if Lamar is back. They might be favored in their next 7-8 games.
The problem for them is they probably need to go 8-2 to make the playoffs.

I really dont undertand why the call PI on guys running in stride with the WR and the ball is thrown short. Its not automatically a PI by rule cause the D has the spot and the WR should have to run around him. Far different than if he uses his hands to interfere. But the always reward a underthrow like candy for the offense

It’s PI because you have to play the ball. You can’t block a guy from trying to catch it.

It's the New England Patriots interpretation sub-rule

Rb slid/fell down making a block and the DE jumped over him and the called a PF. They brought in the expert and he bad call.

we complain about SU and coaching and then you go watch the NFL and dumb decisions happen all over there too.. Clearly its too hard to get right
