I really didn't think going for it was that bad, shrug. Not surprised at all the models said it was close. Lol @ Aikman mumbling something about the clock stopping as if that doesn't happen anyway after a 4th down. Really earning those big bucks.
Absolutely not at that distance and up 3. It was an absurd decision.

They need to burn those models - could get coaches fired. Philly has to punt there, pin them inside the 20. Then GB has to go ~ 50 yards in less than 30 seconds with no TOs while facing serious pressure from the Eagles front. GB's receiver group also very depleted. Philly gave them life with that decision. Not to mention the play call.

This would be just a devastating loss for the Ravens. Lamar is so out of sorts today.

This KC game is like that Pitt WVU game from late aughts. Refs doing everything they can for desired result but KC might still lose

The defensive player for Denver clearly did not know he could have returned the blocked XP for 2. He had a chance to run in back.

I remember that game. Pat White.
Did KC have more PI yards than actual yards? Phantom hold on the last possession was hilarious - that decides the game 90% of the time.

Fling the ball deep for a flag was their best offense. KC is in trouble. The teams ahead of them in wild card Buffalo, Chargers, and Jags have all beaten KC. 3 behind Denver with 7 to play puts division practically out of reach. Being one game behind Jax mean KC needs to make up 2 games on Jax with 7 to play. Jax could still phluck up so passing Jags is KC’s best shot

Now that the Eagles seem to have righted the ship a bit I wonder, does the Broncos win in Philly count now? Because all I heard after the Giants beat them the following week, was Philly was washed and tainted Denver's road win.

What metric is this from?
16 pts. to Green Bay & Detroit last 2 games. Demolished numerous 4th down efforts by the Lions last night. Eagles D is peaking at the right time. Now, their offense does have some real issues...

Depends which part of the season you want to focus upon.

A month ago Philly was playing without Nakobe Dean and Nolan Smith while Jalen Carter was banged up and missed some time. Now all three are back healthy. But most importantly they traded for Jaelen Phillips and he's been a beast. Earlier in the season Philly couldn't get pressure and now they have a ferocious pass rush. They throttled GB and DET by putting a lot of pressure on Love and Goff while also stuffing the run game. First half of last year they were a middling defense, second half they were the the best D in the NFL. Don't think it's far fetched to say they're playing like the best defense in the NFL right now.

One other unrelated point - Philly has beaten LAR, DET, TB, GB already and a win over CHI on Black Friday would go a long way to wrapping up up any tiebreaking scenario for home field in the NFC.

I have no idea what offense lions were trying to run last night. but really it came down to the same thing SU has issues with. Short yardage runs. Great to be aggressive when you make all those short plays work, but it cost them several chances last night to score.

I mean, ok then we're just throwing opinions out there. I'll say Denver's D is the best then. We played without the reigning defensive player of the year for the past 3 weeks. Yes, Philly's D looked dominant last night. Goff's performance was the worst I've witnessed this year. Was it the Philly D making him see ghosts, or just him having an atrocious game?

My tongue in cheek comment about if our win over Philly means anything, was just pointing out how bad people overreact too early. No matter if they've watched sports for many decades, they still do it, just weird to me.

A lot of football yet to be played. We're probably in the same boat in hoping our offenses get their sht together. There's not a single team that I'd say, they're heavy favorites to win it all. It's as open as it's been in years.

Of course this is an opinion board so yeah just pointing out it's not a crazy statement to say they have the best D in the NFL. Looking at season long metrics kind of obscures the current reality. The Eagles had a lot to do with Goff's troubles last night. He's had a good year otherwise. They did the same thing to Jordan Love last Monday night.

Philly's offense can improve if their OL gets healthy and the play caller gets his act together.

Agree that the NFL is wide open. Here are the current betting favorites - Philly + 550, LAR + 560, Buffalo + 850, Indy + 950, KC + 1050, DET + 1,150, SEA + 1100, DEN + 1,300, Baltimore + 1,300 and NE + 1,400.

Yeah I was responding to Sualldway which said, Eagles with the best D in the nfl. I was wondering if I missed something that literally had them the #1 D in the league, I thought me asking about what metrics, gave that away. I know full well what this board is lol.

Got it.

The tankathon game of Week 12 is Cleveland @ Las Vegas, both 2-8. Raiders will lose all SOS tiebreakers so they gotta find a way to lose this one. Hopefully Garrett gets 5+ sacks.

I don't understand why Nick Sirianni doesn't get more respect. He has the 4th highest winning percentage in league history (behind Guy Chamberlain who coached in the 1920s, John Madden and Vince Lombardi.) He has never missed the playoffs, and is very close to having two Super Bowl rings.

Opposing fans don’t like him because he’s arrogant and comes off as an ahole. Plus the book is he’s had elite coordinators and the best GM in football.

Isn’t part of beings NFL HC identifying, hiring, guiding, and empowering Coordinators? Do we know he has no input with the GM on drafts, signings, and trades? Seems like sour grapes.

That first sentence could easily describe the former coach of your favorite team. :)

I think it’s because he’s only 44 and in his 5th? Year and I think people give Roseman the credit. he’s winning with absolutely stacked rosters.
