instant replay really has become a crutch for todays officials. they basically no longer to have to pay close attention to every call. they just switch to autopilot and let the booth make the difficult calls. IMO anyways.

that motion penalty on Mclaurin near the end of regulation in the Sunday night game was ridiculous.

1. I think he was set long enough

2. Even if it was close , understand the time and game situation and don’t be such a pedant with blowing the whistle. There was absolutely no advantage. Keep the whistle in your pocket

If he is set long enough he doesn't get a running start it should be fine.

I mean they have found a way to ignore snapping the ball 1-2 secs late as a penalty and seem fine with that.

I wonder why so many clock things get fixed late like going OB to stop a clock why isn't snapping late a reviewed play or at least allow a team to challenge it.

There was a similar play a couple years ago where the at the time Washington Football team got hosed on SNF. Goal line situation end of game the WR did the check with the ref thing to confirm onsides, got the OK, and the ref ended up throwing the offsides flag. Screwed me out of a survivor pool. This was the last season of Snyder and conspiracy theorists were saying this screwjob was a message from Goodell to Snyder to sell the team or this would keep happening.

It was real bad in college hoops. I'd see instances where the refs wouldn't even make a call and just run to the monitor.

I came just to post on how insufferable he is tonight. So that wasn't a penalty, so neither was the illegal motion called on Houston. Also after that incredible play by the Houston db tipping it up and going to find it and intercepting it, he says they caught a break. I mean if he's talking it wasn't a catch, then his buddy the ref basically says it was. Then in the utmost irony says, maybe everyone's getting tired of hearing about the Chiefs. Yeah no sht, from you! Idiot
