I didn’t have a dog in that fight, but the 2 point conversion overturn was the dumbest call I’ve ever seen. The Rams are very good, but their special teams very much lost that game last night.
I probably sound like a Darnald hater, the OT drive/sideline throw to JSN was terrific. But the things that had to happen to flip the "big game" narrative..yikes. How many 3&outs did they have in the final minutes when the game was tied and they had all the momentum, 3? How is that even possible to overcome a 15pt deficit and still have time for that? How many possessions were in this game, 20? Wild one.

Yeah what did they say backwards pass? How?

Rams plus 500 yards plus 3 in turnovers and lose - first time in league history.

Pretty typical performance by him. A few good throws offset by some boneheaded plays. He leads the league in turnovers this year. That game last night opened things up for San Francisco who's getting healthy at the right time.

It's crazy how one two point conversion last night could likely be the difference between having to play two home games to get to the Super Bowl vs. three road games to get to the Super Bowl.

I believe that's correct. They said it was a backwards pass - which I guess maybe makes it a fumble? But I think even then wouldn't Darnold be the only one that could recover it for a 2 point conversion? I don't know that much about football rules though...so, I don't know.

I was rooting for the Seahawks for the drama when they play the 49ers...and because Puka ripped on my Chargers, but like 0307, I felt like it was the dumbest call I've ever seen.

The whistle blew. Everyone stopped playing football. The dude that picked it up had even stopped playing football. lol

They called it a lateral not a fumble thats why they could recover it. downfield..

Rams gave away another game

No, they called it incomplete on the field.

Yes but the ultimate ruling ended up being that it was a lateral recovered by the offense in the end zone for a touchdown. I believe if it was ruled a fumble, the only person on the offense who could’ve recovered it for a touchdown would be the person who fumbled it.

The one thing I’m not 100% on is how it’s called a “clear recovery” when literally everyone stopped playing once the whistle sounded.

Aware of that and I am with you on the recovery. Not sure how they were allowed to advance it when Darnold wasn’t the one to recover. Everyone stopped playing. Charbonnet just picked it up by accident.

Thats the part thats kinda wonky. There is a big difference in a play where people think its a fumble and play it as such and where people think its incomplete so dont bother to even try to recover it .

Imagine the same play and everyone stops playing like they did but one person decides to light Charbonnet up because he is about to pick it up and they call a penalty for late hit then decide to call it a lateral like they did and Seattle gets the play over..

Replay official should be investigated here. I’ve watched this thing like 20 times and cannot fathom how you could go back and change this.

How long have you been an NFL official? Or are you saying anyone who does a job you are not qualified for should be investigated because you don't like the outcome?

My 60-1 Seattle to win the Super Bowl ticket I got preseason was loving that game. They get the #1 seed and win just one playoff game I can start some hedging with the NFC title game.

Eagles will.be one and done in the playoffs
They're missing their two best linemen - Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter. Both should be back in a week or two. That will help a lot. Home field for first game. Nobody here is unbeatable.

so that is a catch by Moore even though he dropped the ball at the end of his death roll because he was transiently unconscious? did they even review it?

I'm inclined to give the close calls to outstanding plays. However, that no one gave or asked for a review was nuts.

no. it should be a catch. it was a spectacular play. I just hate the way the NFL just pulls it out of their asses week to week what is and what is not a catch. clearly it should have been carefully reviewed but it sure felt like they just wanted to approve it because of the aesthetics of it
