2025 PGA Tour

I’m attending the Heritage at Harbour Town this week. And Rory has the nerve to fly back home to see his parents!

Lived the whole Masters with him, every shot, bad and good and cried with him when he won it. The best masters or for that matter, the best major golf event I have ever seen. I have never seen someone look so bad 4 bogeys and so good and let 14 years of emotion out at the end. Amazing TV and man, the Champion Rory Mcllroy.

PGA Championship dart throws:

Bhatia $5 150-1
R. Hojgaard $5 200-1

Cash that Vegas ticket out now haha

Most random day 1 leaderboard I have ever seen at a major. Let’s see how it plays out over 4 days as it’s very tight.

Of course I don’t follow the pga like I did years ago so maybe it’s part of it.

Unfortunately I have an old school brick and mortar ticket from a local casino so that’s not an option. If Vegas can hang in there I’ll have some juicy hedge opportunities online over the weekend

For the first time in at least 30 years, the top 10 scores after the opening round of a major did not include anyone from the top 10 in the world ranking.

Sitting with Riley and Poston tickets and a little hope until those last 5 holes.

Dechambeau and Finau. Same. You can't out Scheffler, Scheffler when he is going well. The question today isn't if Scottie is going to win, it's going to be how much he is going to win by.

scottie tried to make in interesting . Bogey one , drive into trees on 2 but of course it bounces into a simple chip and then a birdie. probably all ready over

thats why he is #1 should probably be 3-4 shots worse already with the way he is hitting the ball

I threw a buck on Harris English at 1000 to 1 odds.
I don't see anybody making a run today, so its all dependent on Scheffler falling apart (not too likely) Might as well take the longshot on the guy that is already in the house at -6.

There was a probably a bet option, for "Winner other than Scottie). Should have bet Harris English on that one instead. Would have got a nice payoff as well, even if it was split a number of ways.

Shocked that Rory ditched the media after every round, especially in the wake of his driver controversy and poor play. Biggest fraud since Mickelson.

Why, because he didn’t to do press conferences?

You do realize nobody gives a damn about what the media thinks.

Scottie is going to win at least 10 majors.

I don't think he will get to the levels of Tiger or Jack (already well off pace by age), but I think its possible that his upside could become the 3rd best player in more modern golf (since the 1960's). Not only in terms of majors but productivity overall.

But he has to have several more productive years to get there. We have seen Rory and Speith roll for a while when they were younger and spin their wheels.

Player is #3 in post 1960 majors with 9. Then you get into guys like Palmer, Watson, Mickelson, Faldo who all have 6 or more. And Rory at 5, probably gets 1 or 2 more.

Agree he won't get to Tiger or Jack. But he just seems to be too consistent to have slumps like Rory or Jordan to me. Even when he started this year a bit slower, he figured it out pretty quick. And his swing doesn't lend itself to injuries like Tiger. This is my hot take prediction. I see him getting to at least 10.

I'd say his closet comp in terms of his approach to the game and style of play is Jack, which bodes well for him. But stuff happens to a lot of these guys, and suddenly they stop winning majors after dominant runs. For most, the window for taking down majors is ultimately quite small. Palmer, Hogan, Miller, Watson, Ballesteros, Faldo, Spieth, Koepka, and Harrington would all fall into that category, just off the top of my head. Maybe it will be different for Scottie, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on it.
