2025 PGA Tour

Possible winners other than Scottie:

Bryson - nope. He won at Winged Foot with deep rough, but it was wispy (I can remember Patrick Reed hitting a ball, from the bottom of the rough, 200 yards onto the green with a fairway metal!). Bryson constantly hit it into the sand hazards at Pinehurst and somehow always ended up on the left side of those clumps of grass with a playable shot. Supposedly, the rough at Oakmont will actually cost Bryson stokes.

Rory, would like to see it but his form, especially his driving, is off. I'd be surprised if he fixes it this week.

Rahm and Niemann maybe.

I'm going to go with Sepp Straka, finds a lot of fairways and has been in contention a lot with a couple of wins, and Colin Morikawa, great iron player, excellent putter, and knows how to win majors.

I put my money on Rahm, Niemann and Burns.

Put some small long shot bets on the following:
Morikawa 25-1
McNealy 100-1
Berger 120-1 (profit boosted)
Min Woo Lee 120-1
Echavarria 500-1
Allstair Docherty (friend of barstool foreplay podcast) 1000-1

Doherty +9 thru 16. Hopefully it was a real small bet.

This is what last place looks like. +12 after 8 holes today. Brutal.

My pre tourney pick, Thirsty Lawrence, is playing as I expected.

Well there is a good chance he wont be playing when it comes back next time anyway.

I am hanging on my Burns bet as well

Griffin played too well to shoot such a score

I would like to think Scott can shoot that well again buy making putts and scrambling

early play this morning and so far one guy out of the 30 on the course has more than 1 birdie on his card.

Scottie 8 shots back starting today. The US Open Sunday comeback record is 7 shots by Arnold Palmer. I'm impressed that Scottie is playing his C game and still in the top 20.

I like Adam Scott today. I don't see him blowing up. He can play in his words "old man golf" get 18 pars and win in these conditions.

The fans make it just about impossible to enjoy the final round with the TV sound on.
