Is there any concern Michael Johnson jr taking 2nd string reps so far instead of Jahkari?

Ive been chirping about him at LB since last season. He is an amazing athlete. 240 with speed,

I don't know why, but I have a good vibe regarding Collins at QB. I guess I like what he brings with the ability to run, and I believe that Nixon will get him the opportunities he needs to succeed in the passing game. In his presser, Fran stated he's looking for guy who can get rid of the ball quickly. I feel good about that given the WR room. They will run good routes and Nixon will scheme them open in those intermediate routes. And Pena is a beast on the short routes.

I think if Collins wins the QB job (which I fully expect), Jahkari will transfer. With Rickie still having 3 years of eligibility left, there would really be no clear path for Jahkari. I wouldnt blame him. I like his potential but I'm equally excited about Collins.

I think a better chance to transfer after this season coming up…but I agree if Collins wins job gonna be hard for a guy to start over him next 2 years.

Wasnt sure it would actually happen when he got on campus but it is and I have heard he is electric on both sides.

why the optimism on the online? We were average at best last year, mediocre running and adequate pass pro only because Kyle got rid of the ball so fast. The QB this year, whoever it is, won’t be that fast consistently.

Antoine Deslauriers is going to be a player for us I think. Just watching his drill videos that Carlson posted….we don’t have anyone on this team like him. He looks like a linebacker from a different generation.

He is definitely a beast. Has the size and strength. Question is can he pick up the defense.

Adequate? He broke every passing record. The OL did a great job protecting Kyle.
