2025 Spring Practice/Game

Villari *could* be a real wildcard for the team this season - IF he can get back to being 100% healthy.

Could help fill the very large OGII-sized void at "TE", and I still wanna see us use him for some trickeration.
I think it’s a missed opportunity for Tennessee game if there isn’t one play design where he takes a pitch or a backwards pass and then throws it down the field.

Darrel Gill Jr. is very fast. Learned that when I evaluated him, very fast from TX. I think he will be one of our best if not the best receiver on our team this coming season - can also VJ 40" over DB's to catch the "high ball"
Agreed, especially if he can keep making incremental jumps adding muscle to his frame.

I have been away from this site for a while.

Is there any update on the SU vs. Colorado Spring game?

Is it confirmed?

Thx

So really interesting moving Wohlabough to center. It's certainly in his DNA. If he transitions smoothly that's a great call and pivot by the staff. That said his listed weight is 301. Would love to see that get closer to 320. Petry also needs a few pounds.

Starting O-line looks to be so far, not set in stone either but.
LT - Weatherspoon
LG - Joe Cruz
C - Wohlabaugh
RG - Petry
RT - Mack
I like seeing David penciled in as the starting center.

Wohlabaugh’s dad and brother were top notch college centers. He has a lot of him family knowledge to draw on if need be.

Has there ever been a situation where a Syracuse starter had a son who went on to start at the same position?

This must’ve happened before.

Ernie Davis Brown? Kind of. When his father played, the starters went both ways.

Caden Brown might someday as well.

Hopefully Adam Terry and his son will join the group in a couple of years.

A quick search of NFL starting centers suggests 300 pounds is more common than 320.

A change though from Illoa and Reed. Both guys north of 315 which I think helped keep bull rushing down last year helping McCord.

Fifteen pounds makes no difference - it’s all about quick reaction and explosiveness.
I agree elements you call out matter but disagree with your opinion that added weight doesn't. We can agree to disagree.
