2025 tickets

What lots were left empty? Something like Manley or closer than that?

I thought everything on the West side went pretty fast?
I think some of the garages on Comstock may have stuck around a while

And next yr parking will be all wonky again because we will all pick in a vastly new order when they remove all the historical rankings.

Everyone can get parking. It wasn’t sold out. What you may not get is your preferred parking lot.
Curious why West sold out so fast when the expectation was there was lots of inventory there?

This is going to be a bit tricky; my section went from three pricing sections to two. The cutoff is row L and we are row M so there's some good value there. Price is going up $50 in both sections.

We're considering moving up but only if it's a significant improvement, like row G or lower and / or aisle seats.

Couple reasons.

1. Many premium lots were lost due to construction and whatnot. So those people got bumped down who then in turn bumped others down. It trickled down to West.

2. With the reseating, many people in their desire to improve their ranking donated more money and bought more seats. When you get to 6 season tix, you can buy 2 parking passes. I believe a decent number of people did that.

I mean, you won’t get the longevity bonus anymore

It’s going to go back to how it was pre reseating
So just because you were by a parking pass in a certain lot for years, doesn’t mean you will get it again?

It’s always been based on your yearly priority points for that year.

You were never guaranteed parking in the same lot.

The difference this year is that everyone got the longevity bonus for reseating purposes. There was no way to break that out for parking for this last season.

This year the rankings will go back to how they have always been.

Some of the issues within parking were due to the longevity bonus as people who have had relatively “cheap” seasons, have had them for years and years and the longevity bonus bumped them up allowing them to purchase parking earlier

No you won’t. They changed that years ago. A lot buying those two passes will now be scaling back and probably be not be able to now. They also won’t be in the higher tiers for selection and won’t be able to do so either.

What JR said….

Some pooled tickets too n order to get their seats or choose sooner. Now they have them the can split them out to people and will be lower on the totem pole for selection too so their choosing order goes back down to the order they had before.

I believe if they split them it won’t count as a renewal and they will have to wait until after the seating upgrades.

I could be wrong on that but from what I understand they shouldn’t be able to split them up now

Yup.

Next year some people will move back a decent number of slots because the longevity perk is gone.

Some people who got passed last year will go back ahead.

many people who donated to get the seats will not donate as much and will move back levels in the order as well.

Thats what they said would happen. But did they always make people give up seats when groups split up?
At one point I thought you kept the seats, but you lost the longevity perk?

Yeah I think your right.

If I renew before December I'll receive two free tickets against Georgetown. I know nothing about basketball; is it worth scooping these up to sell on StubHub?

Syracuse Vs Georgetown was the classic 80s 90a rivalry for basketball.

Besides increased demand, I would add two other issues: (3) West stadium pass holders come from the north. As they approach the two West lots, the first one they come across is Henry. These "randos" are exacerbating the access issues because they are sucking up the few slots available in the smaller of the two lots (Henry) on top of staff and grad students.

And (4) Staff parking is also a culprit. No disrespect intended, but passes should be allocated based the need to be in Henry specifically. That does not include staff, who can just as easily park in the other (larger and open) lot. The only pass-holders with a need to be in Henry are Fine Mess tail gaters and grad students (who live nearby). Get rid of the joint parking policy, move staff over to the larger lot, and much of the Henry overcrowding would be mitigated.

The U is aware of this. No guarantees but they're at least listening.

This seems ridiculously early to be asking for us to renew… they must know we are in for a rough November ahead
Gives you the option to use an eight month payment plan if it helps. Otherwise you can wait until the deadline in late spring.
