2025 Yankees Season

Can't let the Red Sox beat you in a series, this is bullshit.

BP needs reinforcements for sure. Offense is still playing pretty well but they could use another infield bat. DJ is a good dude but he looks pretty shot and Volpe continues to underwhelm

I was up 6 points in my weekly fantasy matchup going into Sunday night and my opponent had Volpe. I was not worried.

Again you can't keep these guys in when it's clear you need to go the Pen. Brutal stretch for Boone
You could tell Rodon was losing it in the 5th inning. Should have had a reliever ready to go and once he HPB Devers then Boone can get Rodon out of there. You can point to all the positive stats you want this season but I still don't trust Rodon in a big game.

He's been good defensively but with the bat it's been pretty underwhelming. Gonna have to roll with him though as the Yankees issue is their farm system best positional guys are all years away and in AA or lower. Boston has a number of young guys either just called up or on the cusp, Yanks don't really have that right now beyond a pitcher or two.

116 wRC+ so far this season. Do you need him to be A-Rod?

That would be fantastic. Again he's been OK, but I think most were hoping he'd take another big step offensively. He's batting .244 which isn't great but certainly better then several others for sure and does have 8 home runs so that's solid. The Yankees do need to add another infield bat though without a doubt.

I have been among Volpe’s biggest critics in his first two seasons, for good reason, as he was a below average offensive performer. I have my doubts about him keeping it up, but at this point, I have absolutely no complaints about him. I don’t know why anyone expected him to be better than this.

Clearly the hole in the lineup is at 3B/2B (wherever Jazz isn’t playing). This was obviously going to be the case going into the season. I might be alone, but this Yankee fan would prefer Gleyber Torres at 2B to LeMahieu, Peraza, Reyes, or Cabrera.

Red Sox lose in 11, 10-8 to the Rays. All everything prospect Roman Anthony 0-5. Ya hate to see it.

Also the opportunity cost. All the FA's the Yankees passed on because Volpe was coming

5 RBIs and counting from the 9 slot in the order.
