Clutch hitting has been an issue for weeks now, it's just disappeared. Volpe takes a lot of the heat but its a large chunk of the lineup. That said he does look lost at the plate now down to .226 and he's stopped hitting home runs. Obviously you can't do anything mid-season but the Yanks look to have a major issue on the entire left side of the infield, not good.

Lack of reliable arms unfortunately. Hill's been pretty good but Cruz is hurt again, Cousins done for the year, De-Los Santos hurt, Yarborough hurt (again), Brubaker just comign back and hasn't looked good and Hamilton hasn't looked great this year. Effross has also not pitched well though he does appear to finally be healthy.

Don't count on Effross, classic injury guy. Also according to BetMGM the Yankees odds to miss the playoffs are +1400. I'm gonna sprinkle a little on that. This team is regressing hard right now and as great as Judge is he can't carry an entire team.

Austin Wells is "ready to go" off the bench tonight. He's expected to catch tomorrow's series finale, Aaron Boone said.

Trent Grisham (hamstring) is seeing improvements. Bryan De La Cruz is no longer here on the taxi squad. Aaron Boone said if Grisham has a good day today, he could be in tomorrow's lineup.

Luis Gil had his live BP pushed back to tomorrow with Double-A Somerset - his wife gave birth. Gil could begin his rehab assignment next week. Expected to be built around 45-50 pitches.
