You got to think that if PSU loses to MD their season is done. I know that's not technically true but those losses! I feel like a lot of folks are talking up their wins (which is totally fine) but ignoring the fact that they have some terrible losses.

I know it doesn't quite work this way but wins against Princeton, Cornell, and Yale are balanced out with losses to Villanova, Navy, and Michigan.

They then would have a split with MD.

Evens out to a very uninspiring profile.

not sure about that. umd/psu loser could be in deep $#!+. no bid steals and duke is lining up against one of them.

I just find it hard to believe there won't be some sort of chaos that bumps Duke out. Perhaps Yale goes on a run or Richmond gets upset etc.

Compare this PSU great wins/terribile loses resume with Duke's who hasn't played anyone meaningful outside the ACC and only beat ONE.

What are people still seeing in Syracuse? Right now on FanDuel (not counting NJ [i.e., Princton]) the odds to win the Cship are ND +160 and Syracuse AND UNC +550. Presumably Princeton is somewhere in between. On DraftKings (without NJ) it's ND +220; UNC +370; Syr +400. On both no other team is less than +800.

Hard to se SU outside of that 4/5 spot unless they won the acc tourney or something unexpected happens. The #1 sos, high RPI and 7 top 20 wins make it hard to see someone passing them
Didn't realize the holistic metrics are solid. 4-5 seems like a lock with a potential to move up with a win or two in Charlotte.

There's a pretty big gap between 5 and the rest of the field right now imo. Cuse should - should - be good to get 5 at worst.

A Cuse loss + Hopkins or Cornell winning their conference tournaments would make things interesting, but I still feel like the numbers would favor Cuse over both.

So is it most likely we get winner of the patriot league ? or only if army wins the patriot league ? lol Def think we should be either in that 4 to 5 spot. Unless they wanna punish us for losing to 3 of the top 3 teams n stick us 6th or more so we have to go thru princeton, unc or ND.

Either way any draw gonna be a gauntlet. If did get thru army then have to take on a richmond or psu ouch. Psu has solid O n good D but the scary part of them is that two headed duo at the X. With mullen struggling not sure that would go very well. If believe richmond’s fogo is pretty dam good also. Not to mention richmond is very well coached n they hustle their butts off. Their D is pretty fast n they hustle down field n hustle back.

At least a win in this semi final be nice n build some confidence. But they have to start playing smart fast composed n mistake free as much as can be. Specially when gonna go thru a fogo gauntlet n prob barely be 50% there so need to take care of the ball , create turnovers , pick up gbs n play every second of every min of every qtr like there’s no toma.

To me it seems like fifth should be the worst they do. I guess if Cornell wins the Ivy League they could leap frog the Orange? That’s my main concern. They beat Hopkins H2H so even if the Jays win the Big 10, I don’t think they would go above Syracuse. Others on this board know better than me.

If they beat UNC maybe they get the 3 seed? Win the ACC I’m not sure. If they beat ND maybe the 2? I think they are in a good spot.

Kind of a pick-your-poison situation. #5? If you win, you get ND. #6? Win and get UNC.

Just MO, but I think their ceiling would be #3. Only because I'm not sure they could beat ND. If they were able to do that, #2 would certainly be in play.
