O’Neill Cruz is a horrible center fielder.
And hitter. Occasional highlight throw and dinger does not make up for all his negatives. Skenes was bad but Cruz ...come on.O’Neill Cruz is a horrible center fielder.
He’s welcome to play the position every time we play them for the foreseeable future. Rather see him get moved to Philly or Atlanta though.
Mets have an interesting team. The Polar Bear has left the building but they might hit more HRs without him. Lots of guys who can hit 20 or 30. Pete incidentally went 0-3 with 2 whiffs for the Os yesterday.
Off day today and I think McLean starts tomorrow.
Robert made it through the game without injuring himself, so that’s a plus as well.
He has already done far more than Jose Siri did. Let’s hope he keeps it up. You can see he has immense talent. And wins it in the 11th walking off tonight.
Worst team in baseball. How can they all underperform so poorly. At some point the Baty/Vientos experiment of are the quad a guys has to end.
My biggest fear is that Stearns prefers to shop in the bargain aisle for pitching and it blows up on him
I feel your pain. It’s been a brutal start to the season. I had to force myself to check the scores for the west coast games as I’m not staying up late to watch the hot mess that the Mets are. It’s been a while since I’ve had zero appetite to watch them this year early into the year. Started the year with a lot of promise ….
Should have stayed in Milwaukee. The thing that gets me with Stearns is that smarmy smirk he has like he’s the smartest guy in the room. He’s nit looking to smart right now with his off season moves.
I don’t see how this is Cohens fault. His job is to provide money for the roster and build the player development infrastructure. Mets have the second highest payroll and clearly the infrastructure for developing talent is state of the art. His “mistake” was giving the keys to one of the most well regarded and respected baseball people at the time in Stearns. Other than Soto… this roster is all Stearns and btw according to all the analytics guys have this as the second best team in the national league.I know it’s mid-April but yeah this season is over. You don’t come back from a 10 game losing streak(and very well could be more). I’d be shocked if Mendoza lasts another week. Stearns should be on the hot seat too. Cohen with his “5 year plan” looks like another bumbling know nothing owner. An absolute embarrassment in Queens and that’s putting it lightly.
