2026 NYS Section III Thread

I think that’s going to be trouble for the Stangs. The D is a bit suspect so they really need to put a lot of goals in to win. They certainly have the horses to do that with 4 D1 committed kids but, Pittsford is really good on both ends.

I was at the game tonight against Lafayette, I agree with this. Defense is average, they need to out score the other team to win. I will say that Rayfield is stupid good.

Looks like Genny-Penfield was a great one. It makes what Pittsford is doing to good teams even that much more impressive. Victor-Canandaigua tonight. Looks like Victor is better than CA this year, but it's always a fun one to watch.

Yeah it was a good game. WG shot themsleves in the foot several times unfortunately. Was surprised Penfield was that good seeing that Pittsford drubbed them and we should’ve beat Pittsford.

Outside of Nisky, Section 2 appears to be very underwhelming. That’s not to say that Section 3 has been lighting the world on fire through the early season. Section 5 looks like the best/most well rounded of the Upstate sections so far but there’s a lot of the season yet to play.

My kids youth program played against some youth programs last summer from section 5 area

The talent that will be coming out of that section the next five years is going to be very high level

Seem to be very disciplined and well coached at the youth levels and it is driving huge success at the varsity level
