Great golf. Can’t wait to see them all at the Heritage this week
I really like the Heritage. Not a bomber's course by any means.Great golf. Can’t wait to see them all at the Heritage this week
He sprays it all over the place like that at Shinnecock in June he's got no chance.rory plays like that anywhere but augusta and he doesnt come close to winning. He hit bad shots almost every hole down the stretch and got away with them all.

Correct. The island Packet (local rag) did a big story on him a few years ago. Interesting read and his connections to SyracuseHeritage Fun Fact:
Former P-S football scribe Arnie Burdick, was the Director of Media Relations for over 25 years.
That was the only course he could have played that way and won. I get the history, the speed of the greens, the underseen elevation changes, etc., but that course allows you to survive sprayed drives all day.He sprays it all over the place like that at Shinnecock in June he's got no chance.
I heard they watered the greens on the weekend to take out some of the sting. I wanted carnage! That's why the US Open is my favorite. That was the only course he could have played that way and won. So. I watched the USGA hole-by-hole flyover at Shinnecock. Looks like a total brute.I heard they watered the greens on the weekend to take out some of the sting. I wanted carnage! That's why the US Open is my favorite.
My boy McIlroy. I didn't think even par would win it for him but it did.I saw someone on Twitter ask if 72-72 is good enough for Rory to win. I'm going to say no. But, only because there are a lot of great golfers 6, 7 and 8 strokes behind him that are very capable of going low.
British open rough with crazy greens. USGA will be under the microscope. They jumped the shark and lost the plot (greens) when Brooks won.So. I watched the USGA hole-by-hole flyover at Shinnecock. Looks like a total brute.
My question is about the rough since I couldn't tell from the video--is it like typical US Open rough, or is it more like what we see at the British Open?
I think he is going to dominate the rest of the season - majors and other events.I wouldn’t bet against Scottie at Shinnecock
My thoughts exactly. He’s still top dog, rounding into form, and super competitive and motivated. No better way to reassert yourself than completing the grand slam at an iconic venue.I think he is going to dominate the rest of the season - majors and other events.
A) he seems to have found his game a little and B) I think he is peeved and feels he got screwed at Augusta and C) I think he wants to remind the Rory lovers who is the true king of the castle.
I’m a Rory fan but think Scottie is the better golfer - despite his flying feet.I think he is going to dominate the rest of the season - majors and other events.

Rory's the more exciting golfer. At his best, Scottie is almost boringly unbeatable.I’m a Rory fan but think Scottie is the better golfer - despite his flying feet.
whatever happened to rahm?So many guys in the post Tiger era have a 2 or 3 year run where they look unbeatable then they fade back into the crowd.
Will Scottie be different? Guess we will see.
Well, the short answer is that he got lived, but who really knows. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him as a top competitor.whatever happened to rahm?
This is nothing new: o’meara, Harrington, that crappy announcer guy P???, others I can’t remember off hand.So many guys in the post Tiger era have a 2 or 3 year run where they look unbeatable then they fade back into the crowd.

I think Scottie is different. He already has 4 majors and I think 20 wins on tour which is more than guys like O'meara and Harrington have. Brooks is probably the closest comp with that 5 major run he had but I think he has less than ten tour wins. This is nothing new: o’meara, Harrington, that crappy announcer guy P???, others I can’t remember off hand.
Well, he’s already at 4+ years, so I’d say he’s surpassed the 2-3 year hurdle. So many guys in the post Tiger era have a 2 or 3 year run where they look unbeatable then they fade back into the crowd.
