Still beyond insane that Figueras does not get mentioned in any of these. I would take him over at least all of the third teamers and HM guys on this list. It's like they just look at CTs and points and call it a day.

Dwan I swear just gets included in these because of the goals he scored in 2024. He had 13 penalties and 14 turnovers last year, along with a decent but not amazing 18 CTs. There were a lot of matchups later in the season where he struggled and he also made mistakes off ball. He was often the guy messing up on our failed clears making lazy space cadet plays. If we are being honest, he really does not belong in these preseason lists based on his performance last year. If there is one starter who needs to have a bounce back year it is Dwan. I think he was dealing with an injury but that does not excuse everything.

Couldn't agree more. I like Dwan and really hope he bounces back this season, but based on my recollection from last year, Figueras was the best defenseman on the team. He certainly deserves some more love nationally!

It's unreal. Hope he uses the snub as motivation.

His stats are better than most on that list and he usually covers the opponents top guy. Clearly they aren't comparing stats as a decision tool.

It seems a little strange that Riley Figueiras isn't on the team.
I am also surprised that they don't have Leo Johnson on the team. ( Nice seeing Erksa, Dodge, and Stamos making it as honorable mention for the Terps.)
The USA lax guys point out another miss by IL's top 50 with Ryan Splaine for Rutgers as the 2nd team LSM.
