I’d have to think that the first 4 star listed, Shaye Angelo from Honeoye Falls (NY), is likely the younger sister of or at least related to our incoming ‘24 FOGO Drew Angelo.

Some kids want to go away for school. The kids who are from Syracuse directly, I never fault for wanting to go elsewhere. See another part of the country.

Reagan O'Donovan 5* Goalie commits to Cuse.

Like I said I put little to no stock into verbals but it is very concerning to see both players head south. Powell is very close with Kate Mash must be Marie McCool paid some visits while visiting her In laws in Skaneatlas

Definitely not ideal. These top kids have their pick of schools though. When they make decisions this quick, they probably had their mind made up a while ago. Not sure how much another coach can do once recruiting opens other than offer every dime in the bank.

My only problem would be if all the controversy from this summer had any influence on Smith and Powell going elsewhere. Absolutely impossible to prove it did or didn’t but it is a fair question

I have heard for a while that Powell had no interest in staying in Syracuse. They staff put the full press on but ultimately she decided to move a way for a while. Can't blame her and if she was my daughter, I would have advised her to probably do the same. No info on if the off field rumors effected any decision from any players. That said, SU still has a five star and a four star recruit three days into the cycle with a home football game this weekend. I assume they will have plenty of top recruits on hand and more decisions by Sunday. All the big dogs (cuse, unc, florida, nw, nd, maryland, bc, michigan) have home football games this weekend and Im sure they are all vying for visits from the four and five stars.

Kids want to go away, then in a year or two they want to portal back.
