2026 Schedule Tidbits

those opening five games are a complete joke..

umd and hop continue to schedule circles around the rest of the b1g. psu not far behind. but mich osu and rut are questionable...

The Rutgers schedule is taking a beating over fan lax. The one RU fan trying to defend it is having to twist himself in knots.

In fairness to OSU and Michigan, they are Midwest schools and most of their weaker opponents are Midwest or western schools.
For OSU: Cleveland State, Bellarmine, and Detroit Mercy are all Midwest and Air Force is west. Of course, OSU also plays ND (midwest) and Denver (west).
For Michigan: Detroit and Marquette are Midwest. Mercyhurst is in Erie, PA. They also play ND and Denver.

LOL No Duke for Penn State or Ohio State. Who the hell are they playing.

So far, Vermont, Jacksonville and Air Force. They have to be playing Cornell .. or Yale? Those are the only big name school outside of the ACC that haven't released their schedule correct?

I think Notre Dame makes the same argument (Cleveland State and Marquette last year). They also play a scant number of games, just 11 last year.

I would assume maybe Denver as well?

If this is true, then this is a possible schedule:

2/1: Bu
2/7: SJU
2/13 UMD
2/21 At Harvard
2/27 At Princeton
3/1: At Penn
3/7: At JHU
3/12: At Air Force
3/16: At Denver
3/22: Gu
3/28: Duke
4/4: At UNC
4/11: UVA
4/18: Colgate
4/25: At UND
This is a crazy schedule if true my god. I think it’s fair to say there are zero cupcakes. Gotta be the toughest in the country

def no cupcakes on paper but i expect st joes and colgate to struggle this year. BU should be solid... hopefully penn and denver have better seasons so those can count as quality wins...

It's a crazy schedule for opponents. If this team is truly a title contender they should dispatch most of these teams without too much difficulty.

And replace then with what?
That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that it might be a tough schedule according to the numbers, but this is way tougher for Cuse's opponents. If this team is a contender they should and will win most of this non-conference slate.

others have raised the point that they can win all these games and yet the schedule will still take a toll because it's so brutal and there really are no 18-2 manhattan breather games. the probability of an injury to a key player is high... that doesnt mean you should schedule cupcakes just because youre scared guys will get injured...but it is a tradeoff you must be willing to accept. depth will inevitably be tested

if cornell is not on duke's schedule then that means theyre not playing any ivies, big tens, gtown, or army. their only sure-fire top 20 ooc game would be richmond...it is crazy to be an acc team and put a schedule like that together...even rutgers plays princeton and army!! how do you not find a way to play at least one team from one of the two other premier conferences?? WILD

duke is not on richmond's schedule!!! what the hell is going on. is duke playing this year?

Only 3 teams I can figure at this point is Yale, Denver and Cornell. Even with those three it's gonna be a Rutgers level OOC.

While probably UMd will play ND on Feb 28, it is not official.

One can see that ND added a tough opponent in Richmond, who perhaps replaces Penn on ND's schedule.

Richmond loaded up like Cuse this year. A few cupcakes but Maryland, ND, Gtown, Cornell and UVA is a heck of an OOC.
That's what you have to do when your conference has so many cupcakes built into it. The funny thing is that as crazy as Duke appears to be going with their OOC, they could end the year with as many top 10 matchups as Richmond, especially if they make the ACC tourney.
