Big DMX fan. He had a baby mom in Buffalo. Caught him at an ihop once, good dude… but he literally has a song called “Where the hood at?”… So the original comments characterization is correct.

I saw DMX play the VIP stage at the Epicenter festival about 16 years ago. The floor in front of the stage was a janky wooden concoction and during his set we all fell over as the floor gave weigh.

By “kinda wish I never responded to his comment about the bell in the first place” you mean make it weird? You didn’t just respond to a comment, you then babbled on about it, effectively talking to yourself. Love your enthusiasm but maybe chill out on the sugar candies.

Also, I don’t think DMX would find it insulting to be called “hood”. That dude leaned into the rough.

The switch, is weird. But I don’t care about sound effects or any other pageantry… I just care about not being embarrassed by 70 again this year. So, I’m over it.
