Women's Lacrosse 2027 Recruiting

Interesting she is heading there with Thorp and oc now at SU. Wonder if it’s a nil deal.
In the 12 years before Regy and Nicole arrived in Florida, they made it to one final four despite having numerous top five recruiting classes (including some #1s). Many have questioned Amanda O’Leary’s coaching and culture, we will see what happens without her two top assistants that meant so much to that programs resurrection.

U heating any good things for this class now? Any rumors?

my guess is this maybe a difficult recruitment year.Kayla successfully set this program back 5 years with her decisions. SU is coming off its worst season in a long time with a completely new staff in place elite recruits are probably going to be looking at other programs that are up and coming aka Florida Yale. The real question is what kind of existing relationship Thorpe has with these 27’s that would make them want to take a leap of faith like Rothfus did. Time will tell

It’s still so early in the process. All contact so far has been phone and text. Tomorrow is the first day of face to face recruiting. All commits to date (for all schools) were pretty much in place before 9/1. This weekend will be very telling for this years class. I know there are a few five stars that the staff thought they had a good shot at landing.

Above is a link to a post by Alexa Davos committing to Syracuse. She is a 4 star middie from MA.
Alexa becomes the first, second generation player for SU women’s lacrosse. Simmons and Desko made this a priority in their championship runs on the men’s side. Her mom, Jessica DeRosa, was a key player on some of Lisa Miller’s earlier teams. Always good to keep it in the family.

Still plenty of 5 stars out there to be had. There were 5-8 of them on campus last weekend and only one picked a different school so far. I think you see the first five star by the end of the week.
O my
