Was kind of curios since i noticed a pattern throughout the year. But it appears that the #21 ranking may be a place your team does not want to be. So far, here is the AP #21 ranked results:

Week 0: Iowa State / Win 29-26 v. Northen Iowa (middling FCS team) / Dropped 4 spots in polls
Week 1: Syracuse / Loss 63-20 v. Maryland / Dropped out of Top 25
Week 2: Maryland / Loss 20-17 v. Temple / Dropped out of Top 25
Week 3: Virginia / Win 28-14 v. Old Dominion (bad FBS team) / Raised 3 spots in polls
Week 4: Southern California / Loss 28-14 Washington / Dropped out of Top 25
Week 5: Oklahoma State / Loss 45-35 Texas Tech / Dropped out of Top 25
Week 6: SMU / Get the fighting Byes this week, Temple next week.

The two teams that won did not win very convincingly against far inferior opponents. The only game you could absolutely say where the team lost to a better team was Washington beating USC (though Syracuse loss to MD is still a toss up).

Hope for SMU's sake there is some movement in the polls before next weeks game. ;);)

All I see in the OP is 63-20.

Only a SU fan could question if the best team won that day.

Inane trivia - I coached the starting safety (Clemons) for SMU in youth football between 1st and 6th grade. Still the best player I've ever coached and one of the best I ever saw play at the youth level. This from a league that produced Northwester starting LBer Paddy Fisher among others. He was my QB and played LBer/Safety/DE. I allowed him to call plays in the huddle when he was in Second Grade.

really it feels like everyone about 15 and up is just an avg team anymore and is 50/50 how they will play.. very inconsistent play from teams 15-60 and any given week could win/lose to anybody else.
do you trust that anyone much beyond Penn state is a very solid team.
