Giving the left-behinds 27 months to express their displeasure is a PR nightmare for those schools. That would be like breaking up with your live-in girlfriend, but deciding you'll continue to live together until the lease is up. nothing good can come from it, the police are going to be busy, and any chance at an amicable split in the end will be blown.
