Yes.Some interesting info from one of the post game articles...that Syracuse has allowed nearly a 15% increase in scoring to the opposition in the second half this year. They have held teams to 36.7% in the first half but have allowed 50.6 shooting in the 2nd half. Is the problem the half time adjustments by the opposing coaching staffs or that our players are running out of gas...or both!
better defensive players are bench players. they dont play in the second half.
Yep, that’s true.Did you know yesterday and for the season Joe has a better defensive rating in advanced stats than Sy? Although I agree Sy should have seen some mins in the 2nd half. I feel all 3 of our bench guys should play each half.

Did you know Jimmy has the worst defensive boxplusminus for a Syracuse starter in at least the last 10 years?

Yet the fact Jesse has a positive number blows your theory up. Stats are stats, its nice you don’t “think” so, but the numbers say otherwise.I knew he was this year but had never gone backwards. I’m not sure comparing one year to another really works. Same season sure. We know those numbers are impacted by others on the court. This year except for Jesse everyone has a negative number. The last couple years I looked at everyone had a positive number. Is Joe a worse defensive player this year than his first two years for example? I don’t think so. I think it says something about the impact players have on each other when each season most everyone is either a positive or a negative.

some folks “thought“ certain players didn’t really help on defense last year. They’ve been proven wrong
Our players should have run cross-country last summer to get into condition and develop stamina. not so much weight room. You can tell they’re foot-dead by the 30 minute mark. Some interesting info from one of the post game articles...that Syracuse has allowed nearly a 15% increase in scoring to the opposition in the second half this year. It shouldn’t be just joe or sy .. it should be sy or someone else sometimes as wellDid you know yesterday and for the season Joe has a better defensive rating in advanced stats than Sy? Although I agree Sy should have seen some mins in the 2nd half. I feel all 3 of our bench guys should play each half.
I don't think they were all good defenders last season. Going into this season, with players who came back, we knew this was going to be a poor defensive team. And it is. By a lot.You think ALL our players were good defenders the past few years now all of a sudden they are ALL, except Jesse, bad? Joe got worse?
