So, at the halfway point, the team sits halfway to a bowl and even keel at 3-3. I see a ton of negativity on the board, so wanted to reflect a moment…

- If you’d have told me they’d be 3-3 and each of the losses would be a tight battle down to the wire, at the beginning of the season.. I’d have laughed you out of the room.

- Babers game management has been miserable. That said, the team is outperforming. There were expected to be bumps along the way. Again, can’t fix everything at once.

- GS is two starts in and it’s clear on a college level why Dino started TD the first few games.. this guy is quite possibly the worst throwing QB at that level I’ve ever seen… Yet he’s a beast and a gamer with his legs. Let it ride, but don’t be pissed when the throws cost us a game.

- Just wanted to mention again.. We went 1-11 last season and it was U-G-L-Y. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

- Those saying the buyout is an impediment to firing.. that’s loser mentality. It’s even fiscally irresponsible. An extra 15K fans @ $30/ticket for 2 seasons = >50% of the buyout. The longer this is delayed, the worse this plays out. If the AD is not confident enough that they can replace the HC to right the ship and recover the lost revenue, the issue starts there, not at the HC level.

I would watch even if the games were 3-45 all season long. I’m just happy to again have hope that every week the team is capable of pulling out the victory. Saban’s contract sets the bar for what perfection costs and there’s zero chance Syracuse ever spends that. Don’t lose sight of who we are and what we pay for. Enjoy the darned ride.

Every game the rest of the way can go either way

If that is the fiscal reality it is what it is. You can’t just hand wave an extra 15,000 in attendance per game.

Rome was better built after 3,000 days. Dino and his program are not new. We should be farther along in my opinion.

You are what your record says you are. All this..."we should be 6-0" talk. I'd like to hear someone explain that to Bill Parcells

What I see so far…

If you had told me two years ago that they'd be 3-3 with wins over Ohio U, Albany and Liberty, nobody would be impressed by the teams we've beaten. Dino is 14-8 against non-conference opponents but only 13-31 in ACC contests. It is a lot more exciting watching a game that either team can win at the end but we need to find a way to win close games.

I would watch Syracuse football games even if they were getting blown out. While I'm happy that the team is in these games in the fourth quarter, I'll be a lot happier when they start winning. Go Cuse!

Delaying a firing a year is just going to make it that much harder to get that 15K back.

I will be too. But I’m not going to complain with being competitive again. I don’t care which way the AD decides to go at seasons end, but I’m proud of the way the team fights and going to celebrate their ability to continue to stay in the games.

13-31 in ACC games, that’s below mediocre and not a rebuilding record. Can’t call anything going on “rebuilding” until we start actually winning conference games. Playing close feels good but it doesn’t guarantee winning in the future. With this coach, it’s just as probable to assume losing at a similar rate in conference as we have.

And something like 14-36 against P5 competition, including 3-18 vs P5 from 2019 until now. That’s pretty damning.

Is that the standard now? I mean this is the fanbase that fired P. He had 1 losing record at 4-8 in his whole time here.

The one thing that I respectfully disagree with is the criticism of GS arm; this gets exaggerated greatly IMO. We saw him make some nice throws already, some that were caught and others that were not.

Agreed. The 94 yard drive at the end of the 4th quarter, where he HAD to throw, make me more confident in his ability to sling it.

He has had some good intermediate throws-I think it's fair for the jury to be out on his deep throws.

That was a loooong time ago. A lot has changed since then.

I'll take 3-3 x 2, although I think it's possible we might do better.

I have zero interest in starting all over again any time soon.

It's horrid.

It's year 6 and the "...but we're competitive and if the coach could just manage the game better soon, we'd..." is a straw man excuse in year 6.it simply can't be glossed over at this point.

I know we all want to hope for the best, but our coach tried to make the jump to a competent p5 coach and has not cut the mustard. He certainly tried. He's also a nice guy. He is also continuing to show us, week-in and week-out, why he shouldn't keep his job.

2/3 of our losses have been thrillers. I’m disappointed with our standing but it also exceeded off season expectations. This season has been very exciting so far.

I'm hoping Dino can learn from HIS mistakes and make adjustments. However, since he doesn't think he has made any mistakes I find it highly unlikely that any of the coaching breakdowns change.

Let me help you. Better performance, pick one:

1. a 3 point loss to Georgia, the number 1 team in the country

2. a 40 point win over UCONN

this ain’t the NFL

how well or how bad you’re playing can be deceiving based on who you’re playing

What year would you have fired him?
