3 New QBs...

I have a gut feeling that TD will move on to the NFL if he has the season we all hope he has this year.
Of course, every junior will likely leave for the NFL, if they have the season we HOPE they have. The question is, how likely are they to have it?

What about draft grade and how draft able they are?

Use of the word either is usually followed by 2 options.

Yeah...

would a 4000 yd 40 td season even get him in the top half of the draft as a unknown JR starting out?

he doesnt have the NFL build either, now if he shows better pocket presence on top of a great season he could jump up but i dont think 1 solid yr does it unless the team makes a great run too

he is plenty big for the NFL a legit 6‘2” can be bulked up to 225. Have stood next to Dak, Cousins and Mahomes not huge guys although Dak is thick

Instead of everybody debating what the pro football future of Tommy DeVito is or is not and when and in what year that may or may not occur, I hope all Syracuse University Football Fans will hope that under the tutelage of Coach Gilbert, Tommy DeVito will make the improvements in his game that help his team win lots of games. Lets hope his touchdowns are way up, his interceptions are way down his pocket presence gets much better and he runs when he has to and has a line that blocks for him. I think the future is bright for Syracuse Football. Go Orange!!!!!!!!!

His interceptions (in terms of total) weren't that bad, although some seemed to come at particularly bad times. I think the bigger issues are pocket presence, not taking so many sacks, and checking down on pass plays if the first option isn't there.

Trevor Lawrence was in the National Championship game two years running and he’s not entering the draft. But TD is going after a good year?
Travis Etienne is a top 10 pick at a position with an extremely short shelf life but is returning to school. Triston Jackson might not get drafted but left early for the NFL draft. Your point?

etienne wouldn’t go in the first round this year.

TD will improve if the O-line becomes serviceable. Everything else is icing on the cake. I hope TD gets to show his true capabilities.

The O-Line playing together as a unit at the end of the season and the changes made in the off-season make me think SU football will be much better this fall.

With 7 QB's on the roster I'm curious on how Gilbert will rotate them in practice and see who raises to the top. I always enjoy seeing how/who they rotate and the drills they use.

Could Summers pass Rex...Gunther possibly or wouldn't be cool to have one of these 3 be too good not to play and pressure TD for some snaps? Coach P gave Mason his shot in 94 while having a pretty good QB on the side who they redshirted and made quite a difference when he lined up behind the center in 95.

Not at all the same situation. This would be more akin to Tommy starting 3 years ago, or giving ED another year.

I can see why you'd write that and it makes sense but my point being that redshirting a QB that is better or just as good than the current upperclassmen would be a fantastic problem to have.
