been watching some of our old ncca tourny games and highlights on youtube this week. and im amazed at how short the 3 point line was. i watched a little of the 04 game against byu, and gmac is stepping into top of the key jumpers that are 3’s. in the 96 title game kentuckys first points was a delk 3 from the right wing, it looked like an elbow jumper. these would literally be like layups in today’s game.
and i still think the line is too close now, i hate these games that turn into 3 point shooting contests. for me the biggest key for us in any game is defending the 3. why did wvu get back in it and take the lead? they let mcneil go off from 3. i dont think houston will definitely beat us if they kill us on the boards, but if grimes goes off from deep its probably goodnite the lights for us. 2’s wont beat us, 3’s will.
